CK: .... ok, how about $18m
Pats:

The WR market is turning into overprice vets, headcases and guys that are clones of what's already here.

So did Kupp just use them as leverage to get his price up, just like Aiyuk last year?
If he’s doing that he doesn’t get how it works. He should be leaking they’re making a final hard push for him rather than saying they’re out, that way other teams feel pressure to up the offer since we have so much cap.

Patriots by leaking this out have depressed his market. Others will probably low-ball him now and ours might be the best on table. 2 years 28, 12 million gtd is what I would offer Kupp.

I watched the podcast and found the section where this was supposedly said by Russini - "teams that I thought would be in but are not in on the Kupp market - the Broncos, the Patriots, the Texans..." That's the only time NE was mentioned. They then went on to talk about how he might be a Viking, which just makes no sense whatsoever

Who knows what’s really going on at this point

Who knows what’s really going on at this point

So we went from "surprise the Cowboys are a top spot!!!" to "the Cowboys are not in the market" in less than 2 hours

So, $15M unless you are on the west coast and a playoff contender, then maybe $14M.

Not every $15M is the same either. I would bet NE would be willing to make a deal that hits $15M with incentives. He probably wants it straight in salary+signing bonus.

Grandpa Rodgers is going to get very upset that this Cooper nobody is taking up all the free agency screentime that should've been about HIM!! Doesn't everyone still want to know what team he is going to destroy elevate this season??

Kupp played 11 and 12 games the last 2 years and got about 750 yards per year. So he averages a 1K yard season. Given that, in the absolute best case for a fully healthy year, he could play up to a 15M contract. But how long can he sustain that? Even if he somehow stays healthy the decline will start next year at the latest, and you know he wants a 4 year contract. as this will be his last big one. Even if he only plays 2 years of it... he wants that guaranteed cash and some dead cap in the 3rd year to make him harder to cut.

I saw a tweet this morning saying that DK Metcalf wanted to go to the Steelers because "they made me feel confident they'd get the right QB"

I had an ex who used to always promise me extra special sexy time if we spent the day with her parents. DK should have consulted me. Promises that seem too good to be true usually aren't.

I mean how can you not trust the Steelers when their starting QBs since Roethlisberger retired have included Mason Rudolph, Kenny Pickett, a washed up Russell Wilson, and Mitch Trubisky?

What did I miss? Did they sign Myles Garrett, maybe Reggie White? If not, they suck.
