The contract numbers will say a lot.
And that said, he better be cheap because he sucks.
Just seems odd getting a clipboard holder on day 1 of FA

Relative peanuts in NFL terms. Keep in mind, that Maye struggled with injuries last year and the OL is likely still on the weaker side next year even if they make some progress. He does "suck" in terms of starting games, but all QBs making $4M/year suck.

I don't read too much into the day 1/2/3 of free agency stuff. They probably have their lists at each position and relative to how much they wanted to spend (not much) I imagine Dobbs was high on their list. I don't think they spent a lot of time negotiating this in lieu of more serious needs elsewhere.

All the people complaining 30 minutes into free agency earlier have mysteriously disappeared for a while now

Last I saw they were out on he ledge, I gave 'em a 'there there' pat on the back before I closed the window

That's less than what Jacboy Brissett got.

A lot of money for a qb3.

I don’t think Milton’s value will ever be higher than it is now.
If Maye ever went down for an extended stretch and he got the chance to play he'd either do well and his value sky rockets or he'd flop and his value tanks. Despite all the optimism, my guess is that over extended time it'd be evident why he fell to the 6th round and that he isn't an NFL QB, so I lean towards agreeing with you that his value would be highest.

He does have tools though so I just think on the risk/reward balance it's better to keep him unless someone makes a stupid offer.

Yes, in a real game against a team not trying to lose he would look worse.
Value is what the highest bidder will give. One of 31 have to have been duped by that game.
A 3 and he’s gone IMO and we have plenty of room for a 3rd round pick.

For a second I read this as Josh Downs.
