Pats already have 4 WR who are 24 or younger with Boutte, Baker, Polk and Douglas.. Baker and Polk they just used a 4th and 2nd respectively.. Yet, they're going to add 2 MORE young WRs by adding a 2nd and 3rd round pick?
Look up sunk costs.

So is Milton officially on the block now?

Huh? Of course it’s true it’s just the #’s
They get traded a ton.
There still more valuable than rounds 4-7
Teams trade third round Picks all the time for established NFL players
It really is the sweet spot if you want to pick up starting Caliber NFL players, trade third round picks all day long for that
For a starter then sure and I've said I'd be happy trading a third for Aiyuk. I'd use one to trade up for a quality faller in the first but I'm not keen on using one to trade for someone who's had a serious knee injury.

Is he? Or is that speculation on someone's part? I'd be reluctant to trade an inexpensive potential #2 QB (if that's what he can become) unless it's a decent trade.

i hope pickett doesn’t stop cle from taking a qb lol

I doubt it. They needed a 3rd QB.
Don’t need a 3rd and it could be a rookie.
Durant make much sense to sign a vet unless either Milton is going to be traded, or they have no faith in him as a backup.

If they can get a 3rd for him, I do it. Gotta strike while the iron is hot. If Maye can harness his rushing BS and plays 17 plus per year, Miltons value will be no more higher than it is right now.

It's pure speculation.

If Dobbs was brought in here to do anything but hold a clipboard, I'd be shocked.

You make a good point. I'm still conflicted though.

You do need a 3rd thanks to the new roster rules, otherwise you're just punting a roster spot every week.

And I doubt they'd bring in a rookie to sit behind two 2nd year guys. Dobbs signed for nothing, he's here to get coffee and make sure the other QBs go to meetings on time.

Williams? sure, buts that weird.

Sorry I will be serious. I do not think Dobbs being brought in puts Milton on the trade block but I do think they have listened to offers. This might indicate something is being worked on or he is just an arm for camp

I wouldn't trade him short of something ridiculous. Maye runs a lot and had some concussion scares last year. You never know... Milton could be called into extended action and if he played well there his value goes up many multiples. End of the day, I'd only trade him if it was an offer so ridiculous that you can't risk losing out on it. Maybe someone offered a third and maybe he never ends up getting to play, but we're not going to look back 3 years from now and rue the day we missed out on getting a 3rd round pick. We will look back and rue the day we traded away a QB if Milton goes on to have success elsewhere and Maye has injury troubles.

Most teams like to have one veteran QB in the room. 2 2nd year QBs and a rookie would be pretty unconventional.

The contract numbers will say a lot.
And that said, he better be cheap because he sucks.
Just seems odd getting a clipboard holder on day 1 of FA

I don’t think Milton’s value will ever be higher than it is now.

Could he be a swap-out for Brissett? we're his 11th Team? Dang.
