2025 Draft: RBs

I find it super weird Ashton Jeanty is not getting more hype... He's one of two guys in college football history to do what he was able to do from a numbers perspective and the other guy was Barry Sanders...

Just seems like the closest thing to a sure bet in the first round this year...

I've been hearing a lot of love for Omarion to the point where he could overtake Jeanty for the RB1 spot.

This has to be one of the best RB classes of all time. It would be really nice to take advantage of that.

I watched Quinshon Judkins today and I really struggled to find his superpower; Jeanty has elite contact balance, Hampton runs with awesome power, Tuten has the ability to get to top speed in a heartbeat, Giddens' lateral agility is awesome etc. But then I realised what his superpower is. He's just good at everything at 220lbs and with excellent athleticism to boot. I struggled to find a flaw in his game. He might not flash in the way those other backs will, but just give him the ball 20-30 times a game and he'll carry the offense on his back.

I wonder wonder wonder? Could Vrabel do the unthinkable and take Ashton Jeanty in the first round? He may actually be the best player in the draft, and would instantly give them one of the best running back’s in the league.

And he would make our crappy OL suddenly look much better.

I'm a lot higher on Judkins than you are, but otherwise that's a solid list. Good class to pick up a young workhorse.

I guess I forgot about Skattebo and Sampson. Probably for good reason lol both got a ton of work last year but at least Sampson is much younger. And there's this that just came out...

More yards from scrimmage and 25% more TDs than Hampton, although slightly lower yards per touch. Same size and similar testing, though Judkins jumped better (all time great figures at his size, really) and had a faster 10 yard split. He doesn't have the same long speed, but he's still a big, powerful back.

The yards and TDs can be explained by Ohio State as opposed to NC. I still prefer Hampton's tape who I think is closer to Jeanty than Judkins but Judkins is the clear no 3 for me. It took me a while, and I didn't see the wow factor of Jeanty and Hampton, but Judkins really impressed me as a super solid franchise back. The other two are just a level beyond that.

I do place a lower value on RBs that have been ran into the ground. I would rather have the ones like Martinez that have a lot of tread left on the tires.

Judkins has about 200 more carries than Martinez. About a season's worth.

I thought Kyle Monangai from Rutgers was unimpressive at the combine both in testing (a 4.6 forty) and in on field drills and his tape is good but not great but....

1. Two time team captain
2. Has never fumbled in 4 years
3. does this in pass pro



There might not be a better prospect in this draft that fits the 'Vrabel-way'.
