2025 Draft: RBs

Here's a wowzer Kaleb clip

Maybe this is a lazy comparison because they share a last name, but he reminds me a little bit of David Johnson. His second year with the Cardinals was one of the best seasons I've ever seen from a running back. I'd love to add a guy like that in the mid rounds. Big and smooth with a little bit of power and a little bit of speed. Not top tier in anything, but he hits the sweet spot as a combination of all the traits you look for.

I'd put him below some of the other stand out backs who are better past protectors, better route runners, faster, or better after contact, but I could see him having a very solid career as part of a starting tandem.

I believe i heard that very same comp as well. I have a special fondness for Iowa Hawkeyes given they're getting coached by Ferentz.

Best short yardage back in the draft?

I call foul! What's he doing in this thread? Surely he's a wildcat QB and should be in the QB thread

More seriously. I hadn't watched him up to now and when I'd seen that he'd scored some short yardage TDs, I thought it meant he was just doing William Perry stuff. But he's leaping over the top and he's bouncing runs to the outside! Really something. I'm looking forward to how he tests now on things like the VJ.

And man is he explosive and quick as a DT. Sign me up.

Agreed. Add him and Graham, plus Barmore, White, and Godchaux, and our DT is solved. Sign 1 DE, 1LB, and DJ Reed and a FS, and viola the defense is back.

It's to the point that every team's DL will almost certainly benefit from this draft without trying lol

Enjoyed listening to his interviews so much that I had to dig up some clips and can you say Marshawn Lynch 2.0?

Kyle Monangai

I've always thought he had a weird running style but I think it's because he holds the ball so high which probably accounts for that fumble statistic. With that fumble stat, Rhamondre's going to be on a short leash.

Agreed - LOL. The Pats have the FA cap space, on top of the draft, to fill out the balance of the defense too.
At the very least, Vrabel will be able to raise the floor of the team.

I had the audacity to compare Lequint Allen to James White. Now imagine this play in a Super Bowl OT.

I'm sure Josh McDaniels is paying attention.

Obviously not a huge need for us but depth is always important at this position.

The top guy and only one worthy of 1st round discussions is obvious.

My guy for us is Ollie Gordon

I find it super weird Ashton Jeanty is not getting more hype... He's one of two guys in college football history to do what he was able to do from a numbers perspective and the other guy was Barry Sanders...

Just seems like the closest thing to a sure bet in the first round this year...
