Tell me about Pittsburgh LT Dan Moore.

The point of getting Stanley, or even Robinson, is that they would protect Maye's blind side for 2 to 3 seasons while you hopefully have drafted a young and capable LT and have them ready to go by the time Stanley or Robinson have moved on or retired. Moore is obviously younger. Is he better than what we trotted out for LT last season? Yes. Is he a whole huge level up from that? No. But, if he's all that they can get and can eventually be flipped to the RT spot and perhaps be better at RT when we do get a solid LT, then that's what might have to happen. It's not optimal for sure, and I hope we're able to do better than Moore. Even then, I would not pay him anywhere near close to Stanley money. We'll see.
Coach Vrabel,

Why is everyone trying to push me out.. I have 36 inch arms too!

He can still be my swing tackle.

Side note: with everything he dealt with last year that was actually a fun TD to see him get.

My cousin used to work at BCH as a PT. She worked crazy hours. Early mornings. Sometimes till 10pm.

Some pro athletes would roll in with the media as use it as an op. I think Vrabes is genuine and is not doing that.

Even though he is as annoying as hell now and is a complete flake, on many occasions she saw Gronk roll in, by himself, with a bag with Pats stuff in it. He'd visit with kids and sign stuff. He'd also visit kids that we not awake or sadly not going to make it and leave notes for them on footballs.

Another thing I'd not hold against Moore is who he was blocking for. Wilson and Fields are guys who take a lot of sacks, even with good offensive lines. Which means grading his production is going to be a little difficult. At least for me.

Overall, with the money the team has available, and how bad the tackles have been, I'd say that if you get the chance to sign him, just do it. Given attrition rates of offensive linemen, the WORST case scenario is that he is the #3 guy if somehow the team signs or drafts somebody better at LT or RT. And that'd be an okay issue to have.

God bless your cousin for all she did! I know that KG used to go on his own down to BCH.. my oldest daughter went to Boston Latin right around the corner and I used to see alot of the celtics and occasionally patriots players over the years coming and going around the area.

I believe Vrabel is genuine as well... his genuine abilities are what will be able to get guys to come here. A guy we need and who Vrabel loved Landry was released today.. I can bet Vrabel is on the phone with him!

Vrabel gets a lot of crap for being a ****y, ball-buster but the guy has a lot of people vouch for him as a compassionate, caring guy.

His grades on PFF aren’t awful, better than what we had last year.

But a brief scan of Reddit shows that Steelers fans absolutely hate the guy.
Who knows. He could be another Kyle Van Noy, who couldn't get on the field with the woeful Detroit Lions.

The difference of course being that Moore did get on the field, and he just isn't that good.

He’s 20 years old and he was the most athletic tackle prospect at the Combine. there is no reason they can’t have him play LT.

Draft a guy to play the position he excelled at, not everyone can change positions.

He has the athleticism of pro players who are 50lbs lighter than him. That's insane. Most of his teammates and competition were older and more developed than him. At age 20 with his physical gifts it's crazy to think he can't learn LT.

This isn't in the same planet as last year's failed RT to LT conversions, who were all 4+ years older and had less athleticism than Membou's pinky toe.

Another RT great!

Alt was a LT in college and played RT for the Chargers. Wirfs came into the league and played RT, before playing LT. Thuney and Mankins were both LTs in college and played LG in the NFL. Lots of very successful offensive lineman move around in college and in the NFL.

Just a side note on Wirfs: Iirc, ok his rookie year, big jump after that. Talent and hard work.
