This is good because it sets the market for these moves. If Deebo is worth a 5th then Kupp is probably not worth more than a 4th, even assuming the Rams eat some of his salary.
Kupp feels more reality driven now. With the team essentially going to stack the trenches in FA and the draft.. going after kupp makes logical sense at this point.

He kinda fits their offense with a QB who can improvise a lot. Although Maye has shown some running abilities I believe they want to build a more traditional offense and I'm all for it.

I heard Aiyuk is on the trade block too, fire sale on SF?
SF has 7th round Jauan Jennings and 1st round Ricky Pearsall ready to step up.

Plus, SF has shown the ability to draft WRs. Same with the Rams.

Samuel is versatile. 12 rushing/receiving TDs in 2023.

Watch SF turn that 5th into a stud WR.

His contract says he is the GM...who takes direction from Vrabel
The fact that this is all so up in the air is further evidence that Robert's judgment is no longer nearly as sound as once it was. He is hiring people whom he finds congenial - people, that is, who have taken care to stroke his ego - rather than people who are, unlike Mayo and Wolf, actually capable of doing the job.

I think they left his contract alone because they didn't want to deal with any Rooney Rule stuff due the GM search.

Vrabes is a great hire but I do agree Bob's priorities are misguided

Feeling like we bring in kupp what do you say RW?

Chatter seems to indicate it's still Wolf. Wolf did say he'd rely on Vrabel but he also said he still has final say.
Yeah.. heard that.. as Curran mentioned the ink on the contract says so.. I think Vrabel has the gavel.. SBB this feels so similarly to when BB back back as HC how he brung piolli with him.

I am very happy with Vrabel. I think that preening, smarmy little punk Wolf should have been fired a couple of years ago.

For now, i'm giving Wolf the benefit of the doubt. I think he was at the mercy of BB's decline and influence. I think Mayo's lack of vision and leadership also didn't help him. He has a legitimate case why he wasn't more successful here.

He now has no excuses. He either fits with what Vrabel wants to accomplish or he doesn't....

While hes past his prime and current salary is too high for his production and injury history, he still has value. Championship experience, solid vet, good guy, etc.

If they can work on something equitable (6th rounder, 2yr, $20-25m-ish at incentives) i'm all in on CK.

You're complaining about us not getting Deebo, stop it, you're not 5 years old.
Deebo is a decent player, think Corderelle Patterson, is he worth much? 15-20m? Get real

Spoken like someone who doesn't understand this ain't 2010 anymore.

If the best WR in the league is worth 35 million. Then the tier below that is 30, and the tier below that is 25.

Deebo is clearly in tier 3.

I don't know what it says about some of the regular negative nancies showing up with their down votes but I think it's probably safe to assume they think the Patriots don't have a WR problem. Because deebo isn't just better than anyone we have but he's way better than anyone we have. That's how bad it is here.

So to dismiss Deebo for 27 mil and a 5th rounder is wild. Where are you getting a better player for less at this point?

Deebo Samuel is not worth $27m per. Last 3 years hes 56/700/4 and missing 20% of the games.

His cap hit is $16m in 2025 so not sure where $27m is coming from.

When healthy is he better than anyone we have? Yes by a country mile.

I like it. Feeling like he could help Drake immensely especially on 3rd down and gotta have it plays. Good stuff.

I'm not arguing that he hasn't been healthy.

But giving that we both agree he hasn't been playing and that he was on a stacked team, I'm not terribly concerned with his numbers.

Anyone who is arguing wether he's worth a 5th round pick is doing so from a place of dishonesty.
