The USWNT ( United States Women’s National Team-Soccer) is playing Japan tomorrow in the final of the She Believes Cup.

Wrong thread?

It’s definitely a sliding scale kinda thing. 33” qualifies but barely. He has to be a few eighths of an inch over 33” to firmly be a tackle on many boards. Of course, he may very well be able to play tackle under 33” but the historical likelihood is low. Doesn’t mean it can’t happen.

It means most teams don’t use guys with sub 33” arms as tackles, not that they can’t play tackle. Scar scoffs at it.

I think universally dismissing players based on measurables would be foolish. It'd also be foolish to ignore the background though. People don't talk about OT arm length because guys with long arms look cooler there. There's a functional aspect to having arm lengths at that spot. Just like they talk about how being too tall can be a bad thing as a Nose Tackle. Just like small hands can make it harder for a QB to hold onto the football when hit or for a WR to catch. Certain physical traits give you an inherit advantage or disadvantage at certain positions. The NFL draft is already kind of a crap shoot where you're trying to project how good someone will be against a higher level of competition and forecasting what you think their physical and mental improvement can be. Throw a physical trait deficiency into the mix and now you're adding even more question marks to that projection.

100 percent agree and one of the best common sense posts I’ve read on here.
In this league physical limitations can loom large,

Look at Mac Jones, Nkeal Harry, Emanuel Forbes to name a few.
These three guys had physical limitations, and they are being washed out.

When it comes to Will Campbell and arm length and whether he can play LT because of it... another key thing to consider is that if he doesn't stick at LT he can potentially shift to LG so evaluating what he could do at that position should be a part of the discussion as well. LT is obviously harder position to play, but it's also a different skill set than LG. They're different positions. People talk about it like it's an automatic that he can just go inside if it doesn't work at LT. But can he actually do that? And if he does, what is his ceiling at that spot?

In 2015 the Commanders drafted Brandon Scherff with questions of if he was an OT or Guard. He ended up at guard and after his rookie year he went on to be a 5-time pro bowler in a 6 year span, with the one year he missed the pro bowl being a half season due to injury. If we draft Campbell and he's "only" a LG that makes 5 pro bowls in 7 years, then that's not exactly a disaster.

Ashton Jeany ? Next Marshall Faulk
If so do you take a shot with him?
Not going to specifically comment on the Faulk comparison, but by all accounts he's an elite prospect. Outside of Maye and Gonzo, we don't have any players who seem like realistic all pro caliber players. I know RB isn't the most important or valued position, but end of the day we need to get some lynchpin type of players in here. Depth and balance is nice but you need a few elite players that you can build your schemes off of and allow those "role players" to slot in behind them. We shouldn't be taking elite prospects off the board, at any position.

don't take this the wrong way but i'm also interested in grahams arm length.

The guys I give the most credence to in draft prospect evaluations are at NFL Stock Exchange. They have done in depth evaluations on the top 20 OL in this draft and believe Campbell can play tackle, but would also dominate if he moved inside, and thought he could end up one of the best Center’s in the league. He’s not going to bust as a player, the question will be whether they move him inside and when?

they are reportedly short, but that it didn’t hamper his play at all. Graham sounds like a defensive version of Logan Mankins, and that would be a great thing to have. Mankins was a beast, he belongs in the HOF.

He's not a first round talent. You can tell that just by watching him.

- In an average draft, he'd be lucky to go Day 2. In a QB-heavy draft, he'd be lucky to go early Day 3.
- He'll go in the top 10, because outside of Cam Ward (another one who in a normal year wouldn't be a first round talent, btw), he's the only one with any possible ceiling that could reach 'average starting QB'.

Him not participating in the combine is the smartest thing he could do. I'm surprised Ward's participating, to be honest.
And imagine so many people wanted to skip on drafting Drake Maye last year. Trade down then get your QB the next year, they said. Would you rather have Ward, Sanders, or Drake Maye as your QB once camp starts in 2025? I know my choice!

I agree, in fact I would take Maye not only over all this years draft QB's, but all of last years too. For me he has so much natural ability, this young man could be great.

Yeah, Scar is on record as saying “that [bleep] don’t matter”.
Hang some weights on both arms, or put him on a rack, that should do the trick.

I do agree to an extent but the fight in the dog is important. I just think back to Brady's combine photo he looks like the last kid picked for almost any sport other than Chess.

Greatest car chase scene of all time!!
(lots of other amazing ones but none of the others have McQueen)
It was on the other night so I watched the chase scene a couple times.
