Anxious to see how some of the guys we all have been talking about look this week. Shocker early on is now Sanders is not going to participate in the drills but will do interviews. I figured he would want to show how he stacks up to Ward, guess his daddy told him the name will carry you son.

Did you notice that he stopped playing at the Sr. Bowl after doing interviews? The rumor is that teams asked him not to. I suspect he thinks a team has locked in on him, and it might be the Giants.

the risk that he drops even farther in the draft, I agree........the more he shows up close, the more he drops
Glad the Pats are not looking for a QB this year.

What has Sanders done to lock himself into a top 10 pick?

The fact that he doesn’t want to work out for teams is a huge red flag for me, and I wouldn’t like the fact that Deion will be looking over your shoulder.

Personally I would prefer Joe Milton if forced to choose between he and Sanders.

The Giants would do us a huge favor by drafting him before the Pats pick, since I assume Ward goes behind the Pats pick as well.

He's not a first round talent. You can tell that just by watching him.

- In an average draft, he'd be lucky to go Day 2. In a QB-heavy draft, he'd be lucky to go early Day 3.
- He'll go in the top 10, because outside of Cam Ward (another one who in a normal year wouldn't be a first round talent, btw), he's the only one with any possible ceiling that could reach 'average starting QB'.

Him not participating in the combine is the smartest thing he could do. I'm surprised Ward's participating, to be honest.
I have not watched any of the kid. Zero snaps. He's not coming to Foxboro, so I really could care less. He's from Hype University as well, so there's that, too. I have other players I am interested in, QBs probably among the least, at least from my seat at the bar.

Yeah, if those arms measure out then he probably is worth considering with the #4 pick. If they don't, he might not even be the first lineman selected.

Personally... I'd rather just sign Alaric Jackson and not worry about this either way. Get firmly on board the Hunter/Graham/Carter train. But, that's just me. If he somehow measures out at like 34 inch arms or something then what the hell, worth considering.
It's not just you! Get Alaric Jackson as your LT for the next several years, some other young and impactful FA's, then BPA's (even better if they are also in positions of need).

I mean I've watched him indirectly when someone posts Travis Hunter highlights. You can tell most of the passes are pretty bad. Hunter is just that good at dusting defenders and adjusting to the ball.

The top QBs typically do not throw at the Combine, just at their Pro days.

A difference with Sanders is that there are a lot of question marks with him and if he's even really a first round prospect.

Last year, most of the top QB's were pretty solidly evaluated to be where they were you were just splitting hairs on Maye and Daniels (that was the big back and forth), but they were absolutely going top 5.

Exactly. If you're already slotted top 5 you basically have nowhere to go but down.

Maye/Williams/Daniels doing a lot of the combine stuff would be like having a 20 in 21 and telling the dealer to hit.

Sanders' hand is definitely not as good but it's unclear exactly how bad it is.

so we gotta wait til saturday for the OL numbers to start rolling in? Ugh

Maybe a 14 or 15?

For the record Penei Sewell's arms are 33 1/4.

Sewell is kind of an aberration though.
Anything under 33" Arms in not desirable. And with the #4 Overall Pick, if Campbell and/or Banks Jr. come in under that, that's absolutely a NO-GO! I don't want to spend the #4 Overall Pick on an OG.

Greatest car chase scene of all time!!
(lots of other amazing ones but none of the others have McQueen)
I remember showing my grandson the chase when he was about 9. he thought it was just the best thing. Such a great bit of film work. It is still the best.
