Carter & Hunter gone by 4# Trade down?

I have Hunter, Graham, and Carter ahead of Jeanty, I just see him as worth the #4 pick if it came to that. Overall I want the emphasis on the OLine and Defensive Front 7, but a RB of Barkley’s caliber would go a long way towards fixing this offense. You can find good RB’s on Day 2, but great ones aren’t as easy to come by.
I have no doubt hes a top 5 pick.

Solid points. Iggles proved you can win w SB with solid D, competent QB and an all-world RB.

I know they will work Campbell out...the thought of them shipping Vederian Lowe to an alternative universe is fine with you. Again if like Campbell I'm fine with the selection but not @ 4: we should be able to Trade down a little.
Twin.. do we have 20 all pros on the roster?? Or maybe I'm confused, your right lowe and jacobs got snubbed some posters been up drinking to late.

Yeah.. Sony Michel still bogs my brain..
Meh. He was the 31st pick in the draft. Had a great rookie year. He helped carry the team in the playoffs. We won the Super Bowl. He had a short career and I don't care about the woulda, coulda and shouldas.

I'll defend that pick forever.

Yeah your right, I was just referring to taking a back in the first round now as in comparison to where as then were were a ready-made team competing for championships. But your right Sony was good his rookie year.

There are good arguments on both sides. My preference is to build the OL /DL first.

I think it's Mason Graham or Abdul Carter at 4, assuming that Travis Hunter is gone. The trade back option is enticing, but dropping to 7th or 8th isn't going to net the windfall that many fans expect. Dropping to the late teens likely will, but the risk is run that they miss out on the top OL or WR prosects in this thin draft class.

Jeanty seems to be an elite back option, but with a deep RB class, there may be another one that will fit the bill. As you and I have discussed, I think they need an elite skill position player somewhere on offense to stress out defenses. I don't care if it's TE, RB or the over discussed WR position. Somewhere, there needs to be The Guy that defenses have to key on.

I cannot help that your foolishness is put on display on every new post like a drunken driving swerving all over the highway. Drafting Hunter at 4 is not about need. Its about the best player available if he falls.
The combine and pro days haven’t even happened yet. I’m foolish but you follow me around like a schoolgirl with a crush. Cope harder.

How awesome would it be if Carter fell to 4th...

I agree. The line will get fixed but i'd rather invest top picks for OL/DL. My .02$

While Jeanty >>>>>>>>>> Rham, as long as he has a decent line and IF he holds onto the ball he is more than adequate.
Need some elite playmakers
Not just adequate

I hope he's as good as some folks think.
Yes he is.

At $50M+ per year for a 37 year old QB, and the Giants have to give up picks too? I think the Giants at #3 are better off gambling on a rookie QB, unless Sanders and Ward go #1 and #2.
The issue is I don't think people are crazy about the rookies and Stafford is a known quantity.

I wouldn't bet any money that Ward or Sanders are ever as good as Stafford. And I'm one of those guys who isn't even particularly impressed by Stafford

I love Caleb Johnson and Cam Skattebo think both good be really good.
What we need is a balanced roster.. some top tier level, mid tier and back up level. We need to build a 90 man roster. I would be happy as fan with some starters and then sprinkle in some mid tier level players.

We need to find some Steals on Day 2 and Three: can't have anymore ****ty Drafts: we are use to those.

Twin you right.. we have a real eye for talent now.. Vrabel isn't going after scrubs and semi-pro players. Look at the type of LBs he had in Tennessee with Harold Landry..

We need one or Two Very Good Skill Positions player too: we Don't have any on the current Roster. Our Offense is molasses slow. We have nobody who can take it to the House on one play. Speed should be the Emphasis of our Skill Position Players.
