Not every, and some of the slower times were taken by hand with a stopwatch, which is notoriously inaccurate.
No, it was every. The only 4.48 was the one the Arizona GA put out there. Every other scout had him 4.53-4.58.

Ok, then he’s still faster than Tee Higgins who ran a 4.59.

I like Warren, but as i have said in another post.... TEs that are worth the 4th overall pick are SUPER rare. You're talking Gonzo, Gronk, Kelce, Shape, Winslow.... Game breakers.

Do this thought experiment. How many TEs exist that you would trade the 4th overall pick for. Now how many WRs?

Of the top 30 offensive weapons last year, how many were TEs? How many were WRs? Is the 5th TE worth the 5th best WR? The 10th? The 15th? You need to get to the very top of the pecking order for TEs for them to have a huge impact.

The 10th best TE in the league is Hunter Henry... how much is having him REALLY worth? The difference between the 10th and 5th guy form a TE perspective is huge... for the 5th to the 1st is another pretty huge leap most years. Let's say Warren turns into the 10th best TE in the league... that makes him Hunter Henry. Not near good enough. He needs to be top 3... that is a guy consistently hitting or around 1000 yards. Do you trust he can do it? I don't.
Great post !

And also, can you please show me an article where EVERY scout contradicted the 4.48 time ? I’d be interested in seeing that.

There's this cool website called google.com that might suit your needs. You should check it out sometime!

Why should I check Google ? YOU’RE making the claim.

Ok, here we go. Let’s say Carter and Hunter are gone, and the Pats still decide to go for a pass catcher at 4. This is not a thread about arguing that the Pats should trade down, blah blah blah. It’s a simple thread, who would you want the Pats to pick if they are going pass catcher at 4 between McMillan and Warren (and nobody else).
I am 100% out on Tet. I would literally rather have Golden or Egbuka

Right, and he was a second round pick that has now shown he can play in the league. We aren't talking about a 2nd round pick, we are talking about #4 overall that hasn't proven he can play in the league.

Just being better than our current receivers isn't a good reason to pick a guy at #4. To me TMac's absolute ceiling is a 1B big slot, I don't think he will ever be a true #1 WR, and I don't think he is an X in the league. If you are going to pick a guy to play in the middle of the field, you might as well actually pick a TE that can also help in the running game.

What's everyone take on this statement that came out today from the annual league meeting today.

“I think you have to (view Campbell as a tackle),” Vrabel said. “I don’t understand how you could watch him play in the SEC, which is the best conference in college football, against guys that are going to get drafted at that position. So I don’t think you have to project it, you can just watch and say, ‘There’s the snaps at left tackle,’ evaluate it and see what you think.”

Yep. He’s the same speed as an’ Keal Harry-4.53. And that’s a great comp for him. Hopefully he will have as great a career as Harry has had.

My take is that Vrabel is getting ready to take Will Campbell. And he won’t regret it if he does. The kid is a player.

It seems to me that he doesn't have the same concerns that a lot of folks do. I know I will be glued to the tv on the 24th and I bet this site crashes like it normally does on game day
