2025 Draft: Safeties

Didn't look too speedy. In the highlights he dropped down a lot guessing run. Didn't look like a CF to me.
He was diagnosing plays. Definitely a film nut.

Yes, he was guessing. Guessed wrong twice in the short clips shown.

His guessing was almost always diagnosing a run. We do not need another guy guessing run plays. Mapu does that and tackles well.

LOL.

He looks plenty fast to me but let the clock decide. He just needs to be around 4.5 for safety.

Hunter Wohler. Character, guts, smarts, and enough athleticism to get the job done.

These kinds of guys don’t come around very often.

Nick Emmanwori, S Carolina 6'3, 227lbs

Freak. allegedly did a 42"vert in spring practices along with benching 24 reps. And is listed as running a 4.38. Obviously numbers like those need to be tested at the combine but blimey! The Eagles or Ravens will get him at the end of the 1st won't they?

NFL Draft Buzz have him ranked as their no1 safety above Starks.

Probably too similar to Dugger for us and if he puts up those numbers in the combine, could well slip into the first. I think 38 is too rich for a safety so I think I'd pass on Emmanwori but I really like this safety class.
Combine proved Buzz to be spot on.

Craig checks off that mark as did a few others...

Wrong thread

Someone else with arm length issues.

Here's a guy that should be considered late

Added bonus: he's from Tyler, Texas so that gives me an excuse to share my favorite Toadies deep cut song...

Haven't really talked about Xavier Watts much but if he's there at 69 he needs to be considered an option for us.

Castro is my Poor Mans Jahdae Barron. He filled Cooper DeJeans roll really well after he left. So a poor mans Dejean as well. 25 years old. He'd be nice in this D. That Slot/Nickel DB we need.

Hadn't heard this name until i just mocked him with my last pick but after researching him I say welcome to the Patriots Malik Verdon

6.4 220 4.5 40

He's listed as a box safety. Could also play LB though. Doesn't have much experience in special teams which is not ideal for a borderline late day 3 draft prospect.

More Watts
