“Smoke” surrounding Pats org, according to grilled cheese sandwich (Remains Unconfirmed)

They hate us because they ain’t us….always have, always will.

I'm comfortable with that. Rather have 'em hating us than laughing at us. Pats fans have lived through both and maybe the only thing we can all agree on is being hated is superior to being laughed at

That’s probably what happened as Kraft said in his press conference he kept going back and forth on whether to keep Mayo. He doesn’t have a case. He went 3-14 before the Bills gift. Media and fans wanted him gone. He was embarrassing himself weekly talking to the media.

I bet Mayo was paid less yearly than his rumored $10M buyout and he may not get that amount. Bob found a loophole and that is what I think it’s really about.
Interesting about the loophole. Maybe more years/money in his contract were about to activate and that's why he was fired when he was?

Food for thought for those who might think that she has "dirt" on Kraft, as an attorney, wouldn't attorney-client privilege cover her conversations w Kraft and preclude her from airing "dirty laundry"? I'll let the attorneys on the board answer that one.
Just food for thought.
I would think attorney-client privilege is only applicable when the attorney is still your attorney. If they resign and then bring litigation against you, I don’t think you can demand that everything they know by virtue of being your attorney be kept out of court.

I mean, most attorneys would not do such a thing but if she’s committed and wants to ruin her career then I think she can try.

Of course I’m not an attorney either so I could be wrong.

I think Kraft really wanted Mayo to be the guy. But the way 2024 unfolded and Vrabel being available gave Kraft the green light to cut the cord with Mayo.

Mayo was just that bad. I think he is justified in feeling angry if he was told he would stay. I think anybody would but like you said this is a business and **** like this happens

I’m not an attorney either, but the ones I’ve spoken to have said that except under certain circumstances (threat of violence, etc.), everything is protected. Kraft bought that protection by way of her salary. I have a hard time imagining any court allowing her to testify against Kraft.

Right, but like… let’s say Mayo brings a lawsuit about a topic that Glaser is very deeply knowledgeable about and she represents him. She can’t, necessarily, divulge this directly to the court but she could tell it to Mayo in private who then himself tells the court. As long as it’s something that Mayo could’ve known, or could’ve discovered via other channels.

It’s all hypothetical but seems like there’s ways around it if the lawyer wants to be a snake.

It's protected. Otherwise if you fired your lawyer before a court case, every opposing attorney would try to call fired lawyers to the witness stand. The minute you pay your lawyer a dime everything you say is protected and they can be disbarred and have their career ended if they disclose it.

Your lawyer can bring litigation against you if it was in breach of some sort of agreement you had in place that had nothing to do with whatever legal matter they were representing you in.

Mayo was a fkn LOSER, I'm surprised he lasted a full year.
It was obvious to US that he was bad.
He and the douche can go FTT, SHUT UP and hope he gets another job... otherwise it'll get really ugly, and NOONE will ever hire him.

She could, but it would be deeply stupid to do that because if Kraft knew she was the only person that could give Mayo that information, he could sue her, then subpoena Mayo to disclose it. If she gets found out, she gets disbarred and loses her law license, which kills her career. That's on top of any other penalties she would incur.

It's just not worth it. There's no real upside.

Secret love child of Bob and Flick Wang?
Yeah that was a total brain fart on me. Apologies. I fixed it in the post.

Yes
(that 'or' should be an and)
If there's one thing the political history of the human race has taught us, EVERYTHING is the fault of the previous administration
It was DEI. Robyn and Jerod were both DEI hires. So it’s Biden’s fault. Or Obama’s. Anybody but Trump’s.

Actually I think anything they learned by virtue of being your attorney would be privileged and inadmissible forever.

But I too am not an attorney, so that needs to be fact checked by a real honest to gawd member of the bar.

Grilled cheese and kosher spears is good.
Guess Kraft is the spear.

No. Grilled Cheese has already made it clear that the Patriots are royally screwed for doing really bad stuff. 3 Eggs and Bacon says they are losing all their cap space and won’t be able to sign any free agents. And Bowl of Oatmeal says Goodell is going to hammer them and take all their draft picks because Kraft ordered Mayo to lose and he even failed at that. As Johnny ( 2 Eggs and Ham) Rotten put it so long ago the Patriots “ Got No Futcha”
I call him Eggs Benedict Mayo because he’s about to betray the Patriots.

But this entire “smoke” story is built on the idea of killing your career to spite Kraft, so it checks out.
