“Smoke” surrounding Pats org, according to grilled cheese sandwich (Remains Unconfirmed)

4 things are truths.

1 - Mayo publicly announced that he would be a better coach next season. There is no other explanation other than Mayo being told by Kraft that he would have more than 1 season as HC of the NEP.

2 - After Thunder did not make the HOF, he did nothing to extinguish the "Fire Mayo" blaze. Crickets. No words of confidence.

3 - Vrabel sat in Kraft's box in 2023 and was waiting in the wings.

4 - Once Mayo was fired, negative stories about him began to surface justifying his termination.

I mean if he told to lose and was fired because he won then just my opinion but I think Mayo was in the right by not purposely losing. If there’s proof of this then Kraft is in trouble
But there is no rule against intentionally losing as far as I know.

As much as I enjoy reading everything here, this is the state of “news” today. Literally anyone can make **** up, hashtag iit and get it talked about. Toss in some voting that supposedly doesn’t happen on certain social media sites and blammo it’s now news and on mainstream media/news. Someone somewhere in the org thought something up, then talked about it to their dead grandmothers cousins brothers grandkid in the gym which someone overheard. Grilled cheese thinks it’s a reputable source because he constantly sees the person 3 days a week at the gym. Big…fat…nadabuger…albeit entertaining…

I thought the Brady forum was created to keep the 2 teams in their own place Tampa and Pats. Might not be a bad idea to have a UNC room when college games get started.
No there was a Brady mega thread and most people were being good about confining Brady/Tampa talk to that thread. The problem was it made a lot of smooth brains loose their **** because it happened to be one of the more active threads. So they would hijack the thread and throw a fit that we weren't talking exclusively about the Patriots (even though they loved to bring Brady up all the time to say Bill was better).

The same people are some of the more active people in the UNC thread and the same people who haven't shut up about Bill over the last year.

I thought there was? Maybe not but either way you can’t blame Mayo for trying to win at the very least. I thought he sucked as a head coach and I didn’t like him either but if my boss told me to purposely do bad I would definitely question that

I just find it really funny that this forum started hating Brady. Then Belichick and then Kraft lol

I mean I'm never going to shut up about Bill but I also love Brady equally.

I don't care if anyone loves Bill or Brady. But if someone made everyone miserable and tried to ruin any talk about Brady a few years ago but couldn't shut up about a coach who wasn't on the team, I'm going to call it out. Those people were totally spastic. It was completely embarrassing that a Patriots forum couldn't talk about Brady in one thread.

Because instead of just celebrating them, people wanted to hang on as much as they could and say "oh it wasn't the guy who left, it was the guy who was still here". And now everyone is resentful because the team fell apart.

Mayo can be fired for any reason. In fact, Jimmy Johnson was fired from the Cowboys after winning a Super Bowl. Mayo has no case.

The Bills purposely tried to lose week 18.

I remember that and he was clearly thinking he was returning next season. However, that really doesn’t matter as I stated above.
4 - Once Mayo was fired, negative stories about him began to surface justifying his termination.
This has been a pattern of Bob’s and I said this offseason stories about Mayo would surface after his firing to make the Kraft’s look better or it wasn’t their fault.

No, but they punished them for talking to Brady in it's place. They didn't want the press for punishing a team for tanking games. The league does not want to admit that the games are fixed in any way.
In that case, they should shop televising Chiefs games.

@TheRainMaker Assuming something happened because we still don’t know but if something went down involving Kraft and Mayo, it was probably this: Kraft let Mayo know he wouldn’t hold this season against him earlier in this season but seeing how the season played out, he changed his mind. Maybe he told Mayo to lose but Mayo didn’t like that and got fired. Mayo felt betrayed.

That’s probably what happened as Kraft said in his press conference he kept going back and forth on whether to keep Mayo. He doesn’t have a case. He went 3-14 before the Bills gift. Media and fans wanted him gone. He was embarrassing himself weekly talking to the media.

I bet Mayo was paid less yearly than his rumored $10M buyout and he may not get that total amount. Bob found a loophole and that is what I think it’s really about.

The Tampa Bay forum was special. More gameday analysis than for Pats games

Yes. Curran and Perry mentioned there was some discernment between her, Mayo, Wolf and others during the collaboration last season. Conicendently Vrabel comes in and she "resigns" just let the football people handle the football operations and let the legal people handle just that.. should never be intertwined.
That reminds me of what Bruschi said a couple weeks ago that there are some people in that building that know a lot less about football than they think and should be cut from the player picking process.

So we can blame Polk and Baker on Jerod or Robyn?

She was just a team lawyer. The morons on sports talk radio tried to paint her as some kind of mastermind behind the scenes who was responsible for picking players.
Food for thought for those who might think that she has "dirt" on Kraft, as an attorney, wouldn't attorney-client privilege cover her conversations w Kraft and preclude her from airing "dirty laundry"? I'll let the attorneys on the board answer that one.
Just food for thought.

Yes
(that 'or' should be an and)
If there's one thing the political history of the human race has taught us, EVERYTHING is the fault of the previous administration
