NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION NFL Divisional playoffs discussion

People are tired of the refs influence in games but they're especially tired of them doing it with Kansas City.

But if it's going to be Kansas City versus the eagles that's going to be a disaster for the NFL.

You have Kansas City fatigue obviously and you have the NFL dealing with the fact that people think that they're helping the Chiefs. This would also be the eagles third super bowl in 6 seasons I believe And this will be a rematch of a previous super bowl. The second time Kansas City has had a rematch in six super bowls.

I think it has the making of the lowest rated super bowl in quite a while.

Of course they'll sit there and tell us it's not and tell us that the streaming numbers are astronomical but I don't believe it. I think we're dealing with corruption at the highest level in all sports and lots of laundering is going down.

For Kansas City has reached Patriot level hate and as I said in a previous post they're probably getting more hate because fans think that the NFL has anointed them and that's a problem for legitimacy of the product. Nobody sat here and said the NFL is helping the Chiefs after one bad game. We're talking like a half decade of ******** calls.
from people I’ve talked to and seen comment online, the KC hatred has surpassed the NE hatred for one reason. of course all these people brought up the whole spygate, deflategate, NE cheated. but I noticed they were almost all saying the same thing: a team bending the rules to gain an advantage is no where near as bad as the league itself fixing games to help a team win, therefore KC is a lot worse than NE was. someone told me that at least it seemed half of the NE dynasty wins over all those years were just NE being straight up dominant and winning games by 2+ scores regularly. with KC, it’s mostly one-score games where a ******** call goes in their favor. I had some idiot telling me the other day that KC being 16-0 in their last one-score games shows that “Mahomes is the most clutch quarterback ever” without realizing that stat is just helping the rigged argument. anyone who knows about sports and variance, especially football, knows that 16-0 stat is laughable ********

can you imagine if the 2006 AFC Championship Game, 2007 Super Bowl helmet catch play, 2017 Super Bowl is properly reffed? that’s 3 more rings. we all know the direction those calls would have went for KC and the golden boy

People want playoff football. They don't want this other ********.

The fact that the refs can make those calls and have the backing of the league is a joke. No one wants those calls made against them so no one is going to complain that THOSE calls weren't made.

The NFL went too far the other way

nice to see so many people online and in the media finally calling out this rigged garbage. it was there in spurts prior to 2022 (the Harry play, multiple big calls/no calls going against SF in SB54) but they really kicked it into overdrive and made it blatant starting in the 2022 AFC Championship game between CIN and KC. the only KC playoff game since then that didn’t have a ******** call(s) in their favor was 2023 vs MIA
KC got a gift TD vs the Pats in the AFCCG a while back on a blatant pick play for a TD, but the Pats had Brady and overcame it.

I'm not sure if the NYFL's rigged but looking at the past history with all the former Jets running the league it's no surprise that it sucks. That's what Jets do.

What about the league guy who was the only person screwing around with the balls in 2014? I don't remember his name because he was whisked away very quietly. I bet he was a former Jet.

Was the Kinsel guy (he was part of the air-pressure hoax) a former Jet? He could be too.

I also wonder who's behind the screen making the game-deciding calls on replays. Probably more former Jets, just like the commish.

Look obviously there’s a chance it goes to OT if they tie it there but with a min and two timeouts for a FG, the likelihood is still a Bills win.

This is where’s its typical in sports that the most high profile or usually the last error becomes the one to get all the blame but there were plenty of issues for the Ravens throughout, so it shouldn’t all be on Andrews and that last drive was not all Lamar on his own.
There’s plenty of blame and I’ll agree on the “we overvalue the last thing we saw”. However, there was a relatively easy chance to tie the game and momentum could have swung.

BAL with LJ : an epic fail when you consider the seasons they’ve had. Having said that, Josh A teams have been overhyped as well. He must produce this year or BUF is open to the same criticisms.

Lamar all smiles after another postseason bed-****ting
The Choke artist strikes again.

INT and a fumble that led to Buffalo points. Its OK though because he will be crowned MVP.

The Crows are undefeated when Henry rushes for at least 90 yards.

Henry only had 84 yards last night. Harbaugh is an idiot.

Josh Allen only passed for 127 yards 0 TDs and won.

I am off today and for the first time all season I turned on the morning NFL talk shows, and it just amazes me that after all these years of watching the Patriots, the commentators are still incapable of understanding what a gameplan is. Yes, the Ravens have a lot more talent, but the Bills had the better gameplan, and that's all that matters. They give so little credit to the strategy of the game, and the focus is all on the players.

Stop Henry, give the Ravens their yards, await turnovers and/or missed FGs, capitalize on your opportunities.

I listened to Jackson's PC and he still doesn't understand why they're failing every year. It's the gameplan.

The morning guys are still saying the Bills would lose 9 out of 10 to the Ravens.

It all sounds so familiar.

At least he's been competitive with more than one quarterback which the Patriots haven't been able to do yet post Brady unless you count 4 win seasons and one 30pt playoff loss.

He's good not great but he's been pretty much in the playoffs for 15+ years with 2 different QBs, Bill lost Brady and tanked the franchise to the bottom of the league and got fired.

He won a Super Bowl with Flacco who everyone thinks sucked, i'd sign up for some consistent playoff appearances right now that's better than being the worst team in the league for 2 1/2 years.
Harbaugh was allowed to rebuild after 3 straight years of missing the playoffs.

There's less patience in New England than there is in Baltimore.

And that Flacco Super Bowl came early after he took over and the team was already built.

They didn't win much of anything after that (1 playoff win over the span of 10 years) until Lamar came along.

Do you think a Patriots coach survives 3 straight years out of the playoffs and 1 playoff win in 10 years?

114 passer rating 2 touchdowns and a very clutch Td drive and 2 point conversion that his tight end choked on. Let’s face it you are just hating.

Lamar will easily win his 3rd nfl mvp this year with an all time historic season. Meanwhile, our inept front office drafted two pathetic players over this man in the first round in 2018. We haven’t won a playoff game in 6 years.
Surely a 3x MVP QB on a team with one of the highest win percentages has a Lombardi or two?

Agreed Henry and Barkley have revised the RB position.. they will reset the market.
Good luck finding RBs like that. These 2 are generational. There's a reason Barkley went so high in the draft. During testing they saw he had unbelievable short area skills. Guy could turn on a dime. He is very close to Barry Sanders when it comes to agility, and that was obvious from his college days.

Henry is just a freak in terms of durability. No one has had his durability, not James Brown, not Earl Campbell, not any of the power backs of the past. They took a beating and paid a big price.

Other than the one fumble he outplayed Allen by a wide margin.
I think teh game plan was idiotic and why they just did not keep feeding King Henry the ball, I will not understand. Poor coaching and offensive play calling cost them the game..not Andrews and not LJ.
The ravens are a much better team talent wise.
One fumble… what about his interception? He averages two turnovers per game in the playoffs. The Ravens are one of the most talented teams every year, they lose because their QB is a turnover machine.

The 2-point drop would have tied the game.
The brutal fumble the drive before, as they were gashing the Bills would have given them the lead.
That wasn't some great defensive play. Dude just dropped the ball. And the 2-point try wasn't the only drop Andrews had.
It wasn't a great defensive play for the defender to swing and punch the ball out as the TE was turning toward the goalline? I give Bernard huge credit for that play. It was spectacular timing. If that was Rodney Harrison that did that for the Patriots, we'd remember it forever.

I'd put that up there with Troy Brown knocking the ball from the hands of a Chargers DB after Brady was intercepted.

do you think they had a "stop henry" gameplan? Didn't seem like it. Seemed more like Ravens just not using him enough?

I totally agree with the last sentence, but I still say Mahomes is clutch and KC has the winning gene. It's more mental than anything else. Teams freak out that KC is going to make winning plays and they start doing things they shouldn't do. They press and make things harder on themselves. This all started when Jimmy G was throwing interceptions while KC was losing late in the 4th qtr. That should NEVER happen.

You can tell by his reactions to mistakes that he's wound too tight.
He hasn’t worked on his fundamentals, he flicks it, he doesn’t set his feet and pass like a robot like all great passers do. He misses easy passes no QB should miss.

He’s a great athlete, I’d even say a great football player…. he’s not an accurate passer and he holds the ball like a loaf of bread when he runs. He is the Raven’s fatal flaw every postseason.

do you think they had a "stop henry" gameplan? Didn't seem like it. Seemed more like Ravens just not using him enough?
Yes, they had an extra DT in there. McDermott spoke to that plan this morning. Henry's first 5 or 6 runs were all 1 yard gains.

They took away a DB and went with 5 DL, 4 DBs, 2 LB. Look at the snap count. 6 Buffalo DL played 50%+ of the game.
