Does anyone think there is a chance Mayo is one and done?

It’s tough I feel like maybe Mayo can get there.
But seeing White take this stance as have WRs on a depth chart that has no depth shoot their way out of turn has me feeling like Vrabel is needed.

Excellent point. Vince's winning record in 69 is amazing considering it's the only winning record the Redskin's had in the 60's. Quite an amazing single season turn around, all without FA.
They Controlled their draft picks back then, if they made good picks, and kept them happy, they dominated.
The players didn't have an option.
Shula had THAT going for him as well.
Bill had to deal with massive turnover.

Vrable is hands down the worst decision they can make.

Defense is not where the league is anymore and a hard nosed defensive guy makes no sense when you fired the best ever at it and already tried to replace him with a similar (defensive mind) strategy.

People have convinced them self that Vrabel is a legitimate coach and really I only see a guy who road Henry's coattails into the ground.

Keeping Mayo is hands down the worst decision they can make.

Vrabel's team made the AFC championship game with Tannehill the QB, and you're bringing up that he had Derrick Henry?

I agree, go for an offensive guy first, but there are worse choices than Vrabel.

I don’t love either Mayo or Vrabel. I’d clean house and get the best up and coming guy I could find. It’s better if that guy has been an HC and OC before.

If Mayo stays because of bonding or Kraft is cheap or whatever the deal is, they need an talen upgrade of at minimum a dozen much better players.

I guess. I live in the DC area and when people talk about the Redskins, all they talk about is the Gibbs SB-winning teams. People prefer to talk about the winning, which I think will be Kraft's legacy no matter what he does now.
This is true, but then again, those were the Jack Kent Cook-owned teams.
What do they say about Daniel Snyder in his time as owner?

I just looked it up. Sounds like he doesn't know who to blame for how bad he's played this season. First he blames the coaches, then himself then back to the coaches for the scheme.
The thing is, he's right in all cases.

I’m not aware of anything that distinguishes him from Bob other than name, age and a rumor that he did not want Mayo (which I do not believe).
I don't want to be political, but age does indeed make a difference.

Not a fan of White talking.
At All.
He should let Mayo continue to move down a top 10 Defense to top 30 to even worse?
=====================================
The season is over.

Players on Offense have reasons to be disappointed with their poor season, given their OL and WR's.

Players on Defense saw their Defense bring back Ginzo (and the rest of the secondary), hire a Defensive-minded coach and see them go from top 10 to bottom 3.

The emperor has no clothes. We lost Bill and Steve, and will likely lose another Belichick after the season. Mayo is NOT a top defensive mind. He cannot help Covington with the Defense.

Mayo ALREADY is talking about making player and assistant coach evaluations for NEXT season. This guy is too smug and self-assured, there's been no sense of urgency from him all year. Makes me wanna puke.
Mayo intentionally did nothing this year. He stood back, told Thunder he was a “CEO” and didn’t get his hands dirty with any actual coaching or game planning, This allows him to tak no responsibility for anything & just throw his assistant coaches under the bus, the same way he threw BB under the bus & claim he had absolutely nothing to do with the disaster that was this season.

He’ll convince Thunder to do some window dressing, change a few coaches and rinse and repeat next year.

The Pats will be picking in the Top 5 of the draft in perpetuity, until Mayo is fired. He’s a failure as a head coach, and a disgrace as a human being.

I’d rather trade Mayo to anyone for whatever we can get.

Certainly there is a demand for his services, otherwise why would Krafty Bob put it in his contract to ensure we didn’t lose him?
If the Pats fired Mayo, there would be absolutely no market for his services. Mayo wouldn’t be able to land a job as an Assistant, much less a Coordinator, for any other NFL team. He got the job because he played on Kraft’s jealousy of BB & threw his mentor under the bus to trick Kraft into firing BB & putting JeFraud in charge.

Somewhere Machiavelli is smiling.

Right now it is White, in a year or two is it Maye?

Maybe for some motivated players in search of excellence it isn’t enough to be highly paid,
maybe some have more pride and don’t like being part of a clown show.

Would Brady have accepted this leadership?

Wait. We're gonna act like Henry wasn't a machine?

Without Henry he doesn't even make the playoffs.

OK, but Vrabel always brought teams to where they should be. He might not have added wins, but he didn't kill success. That's as far as that team should have gone.

I want an offensive coach too, but would take those results, especially from a defensive one.

I think Drake Maye with talent around him is enough with the RIGHT OC and Vrabel coaching.

To be honest I don't know how much better Kraft could be expected to do, unless someone blows him away, I think he's comfortable with Vrabel. Right or wrong, deep down I think he doesn't want to be backstabbed if things go bad. He might trust Vrabel, Can't blame him actually.

no, and he would have been traded in a heartbeat
