They may drop 50 on us by the second quarter. Just forfeit the rest of the season.. f this ****ed up team.I assume next week will be a beat down of epic proportions in Buffalo.
Who will bother coming to Gillette to watch the Pats play the Chargers the week after that? It might be all Chargers fans.
If McDermott is smart, he'll keep it close as he wants this fire to roar for years to come. It's an instant 2 wins each season!
Not quite. Bobby Fisher level would be all the Pars’ opponents doing what the Cards did last night, take their foot off the gas in the fourth quarter so the Pats show faint signs of life and Thunder is encouraged to give the staff more time. Only need to extend it a year or two before enough of Maye’s rookie deal is wasted to ensure he goes elsewhere. And then Jonathan takes over and his soulless Bain Capital vulture capitalist approach dooms the team to a perpetual Dan Snyder-esque future. That would be grandmaster level stuff. That would be Bobby Fisher level strategery.
I was of the opinion that AVP was probably safe, but watching yesterday, it certainly doesn't seem so.I think there is alot more to the story internally. What we see each week in a dysfunctional, piss poor team with a great young QB. I wanted to give mayo time to get settled into being a HC and I can fully conclude that he's not HC material. As fas as the defense mayo, Brian, pelligrino, covington have all coached in bills tree. They all have failed this season. As bad as changing HCs needs to happen ownership won't do it. They will encourage wolf and mayo to make changes on his staff if anything. Means AVP and or covington will be collateral damage. Barmore has been invisible since his return.
Mayo throwing AVP under the bus, and always focusing on how the offense didn’t perform even though the defense (you know the side he played on and coached previously) is definitely performing worse, tells me that he is trying to scapegoat AVP and convince Kraft that it’s actually just the OC’s fault and if they replace him then things will be much better.I was of the opinion that AVP was probably safe, but watching yesterday, it certainly doesn't seem so.
I am out on Mayo, but he's got his head up "Thunder's" azz, so there's no way Kraft will see the truth and fire him.
I agree and I have been a big Boutte fan. He has zero awareness and unless you catch everything, you get to keep your yapper shut.Boutee bum ass can go too, after his awful drop snd BS comments. This roster needs an overhaul starting with bums who talk like their all pros.
Or have a raffle with the fans with some of them suiting up.They could sit all thier starters and still beat us.
Mayo is the biggest problem, and firing him after his talk about how he will be better next year would send a huge messsge. It looks like AVP is being set up to be the scapegoat.
Gawds. Imagine Tom Brady closing the deal with Ben Johnson while Kraft doubles down on Mayo. That will go over swimmingly on this board. How pathetic would it be that the raiders wouldn't have any problem moving on from their coach in back to back years when they realize it's not working but the Patriots are too stubborn to admit when they've made a historic error?
I dunno man. You go to the game wearing a paper bag, you still paid to go to the game. I view it as the only message you can send them is hit 'em in the wallet. Don't buy the ticket in the first place.Fans need a paper bag type of game. Ownership needs to see that not making a coaching change will lead to terrible morale going into next year.

In reality the offense has at least been a little better than last year, if barely so. The defense has gotten dramatically worse. There’s just no way I can look at this team and place blame solely on the OC. He can absolutely be improved upon, no doubt, but that will do nothing to fix the defense nor the awful locker room culture.

What are the chances Brian bails to go to NC?Mayo, Brian, pelligrino, covington, Hightower.
Torn on this one. Biggest message direct to Kraft would be simply not buying the tickets and going at all, but from an optics standpoint, going to the game and showing your displeasure to the cameras may be more effective. These guys are often more bothered by bad press than by bad financials.Fans need a paper bag type of game. Sadly he IS backup quality OT in the NFL, and if the the Pats were to release him another team would quickly sign him.He needs to be on a bench in the home depot employee break room. He's not an NFL player.
