I thought that was the other son. Callahan has reported that people internally have said it's Jonathan who has been cracking the whip. Heck, even Kraft in the documentary said that Jonathan wanted to end things with Belichick in 2018.

Jonathan's role has grown as heir apparent but he's not making major decisions. His absence from Mayo's introductory press conference was explained as tending to an urgent non-football related business matter. Although, some have speculated he was opposed to Bob hiring Mayo.

Yeah Boutte …that was on you bro. Throw was excellent ….you've GOTTA catch that!
The results on the field would be easier to take if it seemed like there was some sort of progress. It is hard to feel like the coaches and players are benefiting from the experience when the focus is on blaming everyone else. Mayo has created that part of his culture with his constant deflections blaming the roster and now AVP.

Since we know Krafty Bob is wont to stick his paws into team personnel operations, and has personally timed Tebucky Jones 40 in the draft run up...part of me thinks word came down from Kraft that AVP is NOT to call any designed runs for Maye. No sneaks, nothing.
Krafty's thinking being that at this point in the season, a bad injury to Maye could leak into next year and cause Maye to miss games - and I'm not convinced Kraft will re-sign Maye. Kraft wants to maximize the years he has Maye in his control.

I re-watched that first drive and it really amazes me that Lowe was not benched after those two plays in a row where he whiffed on his blocks. The first one was inexcusable, as he let an edge rusher get a clear path to his QB's blind side. The second one was just as bad in the end as Maye got creamed from behind as Lowe waved his hands around a bit.

How does the coaching staff see this and not go with Plan B? How could they not have a Plan B?

He needs to be on a bench in the home depot employee break room. He's not an NFL player.

He’s taking shots at AVP
Its ok he will take back his comments this morning thats his MO.

How does Mayo define Accountability ?
(1) Throw someone under bus.
(2) Back up and say sorry.
(3) Repeat again the following week with another player, coach or the team ...

As Stone Cold would put it... if you put the letter b in front of Lowe you have my exact opinion of Lowe on our team.

Benched for who? Just put a TE out there?

This is where he belongs

Would be nice if the Patriots could someday soon figure out how to peak in December-January like they used to. They've been getting worse in December for years.

Yep he just did this morning like clock work.
this is a comedy show this team. I like Mayo as a person. However HC isn't cut out for him. Sadly we are going to be stuck with this staff next season.

I like Maye, Gonzo, Gibson. There's not much else on this team right now, and a big part of that is **** coaching. The fact that the Krafts can be seen via lip reading *****ing about the play calling makes me think that AVP is probably on thinner ice than we previously thought. The defense can't stop a runny nose, so as far as I'm concerned, Covington needs to go. Mayo's postgame comments certainly don't make me think that he's got anyone's back, and the fact that he managed to get Kraft to make him Bill's heir and by extension made Bill a lame duck is really damning, at least from my seat in front of the TV. Mayo comes off as a disloyal douche IMO. He needs to go.

I think there is alot more to the story internally. What we see each week in a dysfunctional, piss poor team with a great young QB. I wanted to give mayo time to get settled into being a HC and I can fully conclude that he's not HC material. As fas as the defense mayo, Brian, pelligrino, covington have all coached in bills tree. They all have failed this season. As bad as changing HCs needs to happen ownership won't do it. They will encourage wolf and mayo to make changes on his staff if anything. Means AVP and or covington will be collateral damage. Barmore has been invisible since his return.

We need to start a very loud & clear message to Kraft. Fire Mayo, Hire Vrabel.
It's the move he should have made last year. That would have allowed him to keep Mayo somewhere as his pet project.
We needed experience and energetic leadership to right this sinking ship.

Offense needs a LOT of retooling.
Only guys that have earned right to rebuild with are: Maye, Gibson, Henry, Bourne, Pop, Robinson.
But I stand on this football doctrine - if they completely overhaul the OL with top-level talent, even our junk WR's & RB's will be great.

Agreed. I think gibby and rham are good backs they make something on thier own as this porous OL can't open up anything. What ever happened to the legend of Cole Strange?
