A Pretty Impressive Offense!

The AVP hate is so undeserved. The guy came here amidst a complete disaster...
A brand new GM & a HC who is more like Michael Scott teaching a DEI seminar & a young DC who has never coordinated a picnic.
The OL was a sh*t show, we have 1 legit WR coming off ACL and 4 1st + 2nd year receivers, a couple mediocre RB's and 2 above average (but old) TE's. Oh - and throw in a rookie QB.
The fact that this offense looks better than last year - with 2 very experienced HC & OC and a more vet roster...
is pretty amazing.
Let's give him more than 1 year to build on this.
Maybe. Everything feels like the coaches are afraid to lose and lose most of the time anyway.

2-6 in the red zone last game wasn't an improvement.
Patsfans with their penchant for overrating mediocrity.

Great Players can make average Coaches look good. I don't think it's AVP: I think it's all Drake Maye. Look at what Maye is doing and he's barely scratching the surface. Imagine getting him the right Coach to get him to that Elite level. I don't think we have that on this Coaching Staff sadly.
Do you think they’ll be able to attract better than AVP? A promising QB is a nice lure but part of it relies on said coordinator being willing to work for Mayo.

I'm hoping the Cards - Bills and Chargers hand us some embarrassing losses. That should make the Krafts rethink their commitment to you know who.

Changing the OC is a terrible idea for Maye at this stage in his development. We aren’t the Jete.

Reall?? Finishing dead last two years in a row ok.

We're not all bilious green nor low double-digit IQ fans but our team's record is similar.

Anyone else's development or lack thereof a concern?

You’re aware AVP is not responsible for the Defense ****ting the bed…right?

You're aware that he's in charge of the anemic offense.
I’m impressed with how well he’s helped Maye develop while dealing with injuries on the Oline and rookies forgetting how to run routes and catch a football.

Dude.

Fire/Don't fire whomever....what exactly has been the development of the players by any coach? I can name like 6 players that have been consistently better than their Game 1 selves. Go back and listen to that Mayo Press Conference when he was hired....he was ALL about development of the players. Horseshit.

You’ve moved the goalpost and changed your criticism to Mayo….and I agree. He’s a rookie coach…they make mistakes but he needs to clean that **** up…he’s a reason for some losses.

AVP's playcalling has been meh at best and worse the tighter the game gets. He doesn't mind losing at all and tries not to put the burden on his QB. That's a failure in my book.

Ok. Let’s put aside the fact the offense had 422 TOTAL yards this past game with a rookie QB and an Oline that’s garbage due to injuries and bad signings….its not reasonable to expect a rookie QB to grasp the entire playbook while also working on mechanics. AVP has been giving more to Maye each game and it shows…he’s progressing well. Even Evan Lazar has said the same thing.

We knew this was going to be a lost season with rookies and an entirely new offense. Nothing has changed except Maye’s progress which is exciting. I’m looking forward to 2025.

Sure. Low hanging fruit.

Also, there will be some very tough games coming up. We’re going to be far behind in most of those games. We will absolutely see the ball going to Polk and Baker in those games to see if they can produce or we need to draft another WR high or sign a FA like Higgins. Snowflake fans will complain up the wazoo without seeing the bigger picture.
