Does anyone think there is a chance Mayo is one and done?

We don't know this as fact, why do people keep repeating it? If Mayo keeps giving us a runaway clown show, Gillette attendance will swiftly dwindle. I doubt they're willing to endure being a laughingstock franchise for long.
Yeah your right.
He will lose more money with Mayo then eating his contract and paying someone else
Your money is in merchandise sales and attendance sales

I think Kraft will give Mayo one more year. Remember Belichick went 5-11 his 1st season, 5-13 overall before Brady started. But I really would love to go after an offensive head coach who possibly calls his own plays (looking at you Ben Johnson). But at this time, I think Kraft is lost on how to run a team.

Loved Mayo the player. My then GF, future wife, gifted her first bday gift to me that year (rookie)....a Mayo Jersey (from China, but loved it none the less) she knew , I was a big linebacker guy... Tedy Bruschi was my ****ing GOAT.... She did good!

Long story short...

If this continues ****ing fire his ass.
Why were people expecting fire and brimstone Mayo?

People here told me that Mayos grandpaw was in the Airforce and well be fine. Nope. Mayo was always quiet and obscure as a player. The total opposite of Wilfork and Gonk. Then factor in that Mayo never had to take charge of a defense and manage it. All of a sudden Mayo is responsible for managing an entire NFL team. What you see is the result.

Absolutely not. They need to keep Maye in the same offensive system, and Flores sucked as a head coach. If they replace Mayo they need to hire a long term answer, and I don’t want them going back to an Erhardt-Perkins timing offense. I want them to stay a West Coast offense, and the next coach needs to be one they can live with for a. Minimum of 5 seasons. Turning into one of the franchises that change head coaches and systems every year or two is a recipe for sucking year after year after year.
1) What offensive system? It's hard to tell what plays are called when the defense is 3 yards in the backfield on every single play.

2) Flores did not suck as a head coach.

Not really.
Their money is in the TV Deal split. They can play to empty stadiums like they did during Covid and all still make money, like they all did.

Yea but you will make a lot of extra money week in and week out to a full stadium
Ticket cost, parking cost, beer and concession sales, merchandise sales etc etc etc
And if your successful then add 2 more games of that at the end of the regular season

I promise you, those are nickels and dimes to owners these days. That's how massive the TV packages are.

How much will Mayo be making ?? 5-10 million guaranteed at max. That's what we paid sanu or agholor.

That's peanuts

I get what you are saying, The TV money is a sure thing
But you can make a lot of extra loot with in season revenue
The Patriots make 2 million a game in concessions/parking and 15 million in ticket sales a game
With 9 home games and 2 possible Playoff games that is 200 million a year
If you suck maybe 100 million
100 million certainly gets Krafts attention

3.5 million/year. Not sure how many years.

This is when you say nothing BB style but Mayo isn’t like that.

I'm sorry but this isn't an acceptable answer regardless of the question asked. So far this year he basically admitted the roster wasn't good, called the team soft, and now basically said their screwups on the field are on the players.

Only way Mayo is getting fired is if it looks worse on the perception of Kraft that he stays than if he goes. The team and the fan base are completely at the whim of Krafts “legacy”.

It wasn’t that close.
Two freak plays skew that score.
Wrong. If you look at the overall stats it's not that different. Yards wise the Pats had more yards today and Miami less than last year. Turnovers were a -1 net difference (Tua had an INT last year and Maye had one this year which effectively flipped the battle 2-1 from our favor to their's). The time of possession was actually in our favor today compared to last year. Miami had 3 penalties in both games. We had 3 more today than last year (7 vs 10). In both games the leading player was Waddle who kicked the ever loving **** out of us.

There's some minor variances. But when you break it down by the numbers, they were remarkably similar.

Money Talks! Also, lack of money incoming from dwindling ticket and merchandise sales also talks.

If he feels like that then why is he even on the sidelines. Give the headset to someone else and watch the game at home
