good point... need to look deeper at thatMy bigger question is how did Wills look last year when our current OL coach had him? If he looked good, well, 1+1 usually equals 2.

Stanley and Zach Martin would be my wish list. They’d give Maye a chance.Alaric Jackson on Ronnie Stanley would be huge finds at LT that would allow them to go after a LG or RT in the draft in addition to WR. Wills is too inconsistent. Pay up for Jackson, we have the space.
It better be "Us" because we don't have Hofer's there...our Offensive Tackles lead the league in Instant pressures. There will be some decent vet Offensive Tackles available in FA 2025. Jedrick Wills - Walker Little - Cam Robinson - Ronnie Stanley and Garrett Bolles the Patriots need to get at least two of them OT solved. We have the cap space to accommodate two of those guys. He’s Jonah Williams. Inconsistent play and a handful of injuries, but draft/college pedigree at a position of scarcity. He’s pretty obviously going to get overpaid by a team that’s just hoping to get “not bad” play out of him, and I’m guessing it’s unlikely that will be the Pats unless AVP and Peters are pounding the table for him.
He said that at the beginning of the season after I looked at potential upcoming FAs. It was before the whole business decision came up.Not really talking about this guy specifically, but I think fans of teams tend to say “**** that guy“ to anyone who just decides to sit out. So probably doesn’t really say anything one way or the other about how he might play here
After hearing that Coach Prime said he will get involved if his kid or Hunter get drafted by the wrong organization. I want no part of that potential headache, once Hunter doesn't get his way about something is he going to call Deion? I am on board with Warren though.Stanley and Zach Martin would be my wish list. They’d give Maye a chance.
Draft Travis Hunter and Tyler Warren. LFG.
Even if Lowe (who's not old by NFL standards) can turn into a solid Swing Tackle and hopefully not needed except for maybe 6 OL packages and backup, that would be a bonus. And yes, we do have the other needs that you mentioned.Right, c of the future is definitely a need soon. I think for now given the laundry list of upgrades needed we need to hope for the best with strange and andrews in 25. Then you can always explore trades closer to week 1 if needed.
Love to see one of these LT’s available for us ( or lowe shows enough down the stretch). Im just not sold on willis being any better than lowe even. We also should sign an outside cb and at least depth at both dl/edge. Wr too. Fingers crossed that we get an answer at rt this year, or layden gets it together allowing onwenu at rt. But the space is there to grab a stopgap solution there too while you look to make a splash at wr. I think getting drake real talent at wideout will help him more than spending the top pick on OL so hopefully the fa route can work out.
Very true - not a single elite OT out of all of the Bama tackles drafted for at least the past decade. Their best NFL lineman has probably been Landon ****erson, who is an excellent iOL.Has there been one Alabama OL from the Saban era that has been even very good much less great in the NFL? On the flip side, at least he’s well known to Scott Peters.
There are fewer great or even very good OTs than QBs in the NFL. I’m not knowledgeable enough to understand why, but I do think that’s why you rarely see a good one hit FA and why year in, year out, you’ll see 4 - 6 go in the 1st round, and maybe 1 or 2 wind up as good OTs in the NFL.

Who else has a credible claim on that title?Wouldn't suprise me at the least if he were to offer Lowe an extension with the fluff he's our starting LT..

Agreed. My concern is wolf gets duped into extending lowe under the belief he is the future at LT then We are back in this situation next season Lowe is a back up at best.He is substantially better than anyone else the Patriots currently have on their offensive line.
Take that information for what it's worth.
We definitely have a few back-ups going forward along the OL: we really worked em into shape. They are what they are: Back-up players we got that part down now we need to Sign and Draft Quality Starters.Agreed. Tackle seems to have Good Depth in the upcoming Draft. We could double dip: Early and later. That we said should be spending heavily in that area in that FA. They have Five possibly going in the First Round from that list below: really hope we get one after doing our due diligence of course.I would use the draft and free agency to make the OL as good and as deep as possible. And I would try to make it even better the following year. A really good OL is critical to a real contender.
We have literally 3 back ups playing prominent roles. Lowe, brown, Jacobs. But I'm interested in keeping Benny brown around becuase I think he's played well enough to earn a spot on the roster going forward. We definitely have a few back-ups going forward along the OL: we really worked em into shape. You can get away with an Above Average Center in Todays Game... You won't have the same luck with Offensive Tackles though. We have literally 3 back ups playing prominent roles. Lowe, brown, Jacobs. Yes, I just hope wolfy don't get duped into believing lowe is the long term answer and we end up right back where we are next season. I want a real LT.. Robinson or Wallace could pan out at RT..You can get away with an Above Average Center in Todays Game... You won't have the same luck with Offensive Tackles though.
As long as they don't take a guard in the first round I'm happy.Hunter won’t be there when they pick. They can get their LT in the 1st round of the draft.
Even though Lowe has gotten better and by better not meaning good. I still believe we should at least be looking to upgrade LT by any means neccessary. I'd say yeah take a look at him while also drafting a guy thst identifies as a starting caliber LT.
