Jaguar Mac Jones is about to embarrass the genius BB and his all star coaching staff [mod edit: he didn’t]

Patricia's offense in 2022 at the half way mark was better than O'Briens 2023 offense or AVP's 2024 offense? How did Patricia have historically horrendous coaching when historically better?
Because too many players listened to Mac and Kendrick *****ing instead of following the plan. Sabotage.

Jones sucked ass no matter what. Patriots didn't help but he wasn't really gonna be anyone's answer in the NFL. He struggles even to make a bid for backup.
Had a good training camp though….

Compared to the previous season, 2022 was indeed a cluster****. Sometimes the scoresheet doesn’t tell the whole story…
A cluster**** at all levels in the organization. As we are seeing this year, changing coaches and putting in a new system is painful so it wasn't totally about the maturation of the offense. MPs biggest issue was his coaching style. He could not or was unwilling to work with the players, especially Mac. Instead his top down, my way or the highway paranoia created distrust and made a difficult situation dysfunctional. Mac's behavior during this time exposed his gaps as a leader and ultimately soured his relationship with BB. RKK was right to get involved. The problem is that the course he took further eroded BB's grip over the organization which led to further dysfunction and BB getting fired. RKK should have either fired BB sooner or stayed out of the picture to let BB own the problem. The bottom line is that all good things come to a bad end, otherwise they wouldn't end.

Coaches are hired to be fired.

Coaches are hired to be fired.
Noted. Sometimes it even happens in season. Most fired coaches are not legends who have run their franchise with total authority for 20 years producing a historic run of success. Comparing the firing of BB to firing a run of the mill NFL coach is missing the point.

Mac Jones sets the single season high for turnovers in a game for Jacksonville, oh yeah and a franchise low QB Rating all time…

Blame BB..
So either BB ruined Jones, or BB picked a guy in the first round that didn't have the makeup to be a franchise starting QB. It's one or the other.

Either way your hoodied hero doesn't look all that great.

I think there’s a distinct possibility he picked his friends to coach offense in 2022 because his relationship with Jonathan Kraft was deteriorating and he didn’t want to hire his replacement, or bring in someone new who would be fired within a year after he either quit or got fired.

Multiple reporters have written about Jonathan trying to make Bill’s life difficult. I’m sure Jonathan wanted a clean break, a younger coach, and to remake the team in his image. It’s his team, he can do what he wants… but I suspect that’s why it ended so poorly.

The Dynasty documentary, reports by writers, Bill’s buddies in the media like Lombardi trashing Jonathan… pretty clear how it went down.

The BB haters here have a narrative they want to push, but it was clearly a collaborative mess in the end.

Jones was 100% Bill's boy. He drafted him by his own choice, he owns it, he wears it, it's all his. Facts don't care about your feelings.

Can't blame the Pats for this one.

-Great protection

-3 guys wide open

-Stares the guy with the tightest coverage down the whole time

Just look at the RB as the checkdown, if he goes to him the RB gets the 1st down easily

I’m going to lmao when Pederson gets fired.

And it wasn't even a bad pick when it was made. It was the consensus "safe" pick and most had him going to NE.

They needed a QB and used a mid 1st pick on him. I’m not going to criticize him for that. But he still has accountability whether the choice ends up a perennial All Pro, like Seymour and Wilfork, or a bust, like Jones and Easely. And I don’t think Belichick was bad as a GM. In fact no coach has more players who won Super Bowl rings under him than Belichick. He built every Super Bowl andl AFC Champion roster they had during his tenure, not his assistants. Which makes it even more puzzling that some here can’t accept that there were mistakes, as well as many more successes when he was in charge.

Another manifestation of that dysfunction was supposedly whenever MP or Judge Joey were asked questions, their only responses were "I don't know; this is what Bill told us"... I mean, WTF?!?

OK...I was wrong big time on this thread.
I am not too stubborn to admit it.
Mac sucks and he may not be fixable.

Have any of the posters in this thread ever been wrong?
I did not think so.

I am still right about BB- excellent coach, horrendous GM who destroyed the team post Brady era.

So he's not your guy?

Night and day difference between Maye & Mac Jones. Maye can make any throw necessary. Can run too. I don't feel like he will need everything to go perfect to win.
I mean we're a week off from Maye throwing a game ending INT, so I wouldn't call it night and day... Maye is just a rookie, and defenses don't have enough film on him yet.

That being said, I wholeheartedly agree with your overall premise. Almost no panic I can sense from Maye.

So he's not your guy?
That wasn't an option.

Either Coach Bill's decisions contributed heavily toward Mac Jones turning from a high floor prospect into a flaming dumpster fire, or GM Bill used a first round pick on someone who had no business being on any NFL team as a potential franchise QB. Which is it? It can't be anything else.

Neither of those are very flattering for Bill. That's why it's amusing that Team Bill is using any bad game from Jones as some kind of flex to defend their guy. Lol

Absolutely no arm strength
He floated it in there

Yep that and he stared right at the guy he was throwing to all the way. That is an INT almost every time at the NFL level
He..he Mac10 plays Madden those are automatic completions.
