Pretty sure he's a better option than everyone ahead of him other than Pop and Boutte, but they force at least Polk and Thornton ahead of him no matter how terrible they look. I get why they do it but if this was the plan he never should have been signed to begin with.
He definitely was first up at the start of the season. They've had a pretty steady rotation with very little luck with anyone all year.Honestly think he got a raw deal. Releasing Ozzy just to give more snaps to the collective pile of poo known as BoneyT, Polk & half-Baked is doing a Disservice to our rookie QB, who needs better protection AND better WRs ASAP. There is no longer time to "be patient" while waiting for comically over-drafted stiffs like Wallace & Laydown and the aforementioned three to "develop."
Guy was great in Minn….comes here with No OL and a backup like Brissett and I think everyone had expectations that he was going to blaze down the field in 2 seconds and Brissett could chuck it down there and he was going to make a difference in that scenario….so yeah I think he got kind of a raw deal but he also seems to be a douche so……but couldn’t we at least get SOMETHING in trade for him?!?!Honestly think he got a raw deal. I agree that something is not right with Osborne and the Pats. He has not produced and is a bit of a locker room problem, why keep him? Osborne had his chance the first few games he started and did nothing with those opportunities. At this point there is more benefit to keeping a WR that no team was interested in. Time to learn about the other WRs on the roster, they can't produce less.Seems like a case of a real bad fit. I can appreciate more how a receiver (or any player) needs to be picky about where they go ... to the extent they have control over it. Seems like bad luck with Osborne. But a lot of guys go for the bag with a **** franchise and it so pretty.
I suspect the locker room problem is that he came here expecting the winning locker room culture the team used to have, and when he got here discovered those days are long gone and far away.I agree that something is not right with Osborne and the Pats. How will we replace his production???

Was he great?
In Minnesota, Osborne played alongside an all time great (Jefferson), a wiley high volume vet WR (Thielen) then a talented 1st rounder (Addison), and a borderline top 5 TE (Hockenson). He also played with a couple of of decent to very good recieving backs in Mattison and Cook.
Is it possible he was just the beneficiary of being the 4th option on an elite group of weapons?
He seems better than Polk. He’s a jag player who nobody wants. If he doesn’t want to be here then just release him.
I don't think he's bad, but he's definitely an under-the-radar role player and we're just not set up for that right now. And if we're determined to play the young guys over him, I can understand his frustrations. He had some good games in Minnesota. I doubt he is as bad as some make him out to be
