Thanks slam for clarifying. Did not see anything about it in the other post....so long as he didn't get Tua'd....he should be ok.
Couple of more concussions and he’ll be in Tua’s situation

Behind this Oline that’s a possibility

That’s the reason sitting him all season seemed advisable

Curran just mentioned he was just taken out per NFL policy as he took a hit to the head.
Listening to play by play on Sirius radio while driving, it wasn’t just that he took a hit to the head. He was examined in the blue tent and then sent directly to the locker room, and then declared out. So the examinations did not give him a clean bill of health.

An unexpected win for the Patriots.

My main concern is the concussion that Maye took from the DIRTY Jets hit!

I really hate that team so much right now. Even more than usual!

I think we need to be super safe and sit Maye as long as it takes. Concussions are really dangerous and his career is just getting started.

Enjoy the tears:

Wow! The “youts” of today simply have not learned sports history. The “butt” fumble ranks higher in brutal Jet losses than today and even that one is probably just a “too-10” loss. The real issue is Joe Namaths age. Joe was even younger than this lad being a ripe old 21 years of age when he and the Jets won their one and only Super Bowl. Today Broadway Joe is 81 years old. I’ll assume the “youts” math skill set equates to his sports knowledge so I’ll do the math. Gang Green has not sniffed another Super Bowl trophy in 60 years and what I believe all the screaming was about is that after this afternoon's loss to our Patriots, the realization is setting in that the Jets are (onto sixty-one)!

Only 26 years on the planet? Consider yourself fortunate. And yes it can get worse as I’m sure the oldtimers know. Surprised one of them hasn’t sat you down yet and discussed the suckitude. Can’t believe parents actually raise Jets fans knowing full well the ineptitude of the organization and what mental problems arise from such decisions.

So the NFL ruled him out not the team? Was he actually concussed?
Independent neurologist ruled him out. Apparently he was concussed.

Enjoy the tears:

“This is the bottom, it doesn’t get any lower than this!”

Jets

Like two drives after it happened though. The NFL concussion protocol is a joke. Josh Allen would have been allowed to play.
Two plays. Not two drives. He didn’t get pulled, drive ended and then he was examined.

Man hadn’t yet walked on the moon the last time Namath won.

The poor kid was 12 when the butt fumble occured, not sure if he was old enough to process the significance of the play and how it related to their ineptitude?

Boutte is the only one of the young WRs laying down a case as a keeper. BoneyT continues to miss his opportunities.
Baker hasn’t had the chance to show anything.

Did Pop regress today?

Fair enough but sometimes they go too far, others they don't go far enough. I mean what if he cleared up by halftime. Sometimes you just have some "cobwebs". I mean it is football.
It is also a life sentence of CTE

Doesn't this seem a bit shady? Teams down by x points and not making a spread....the offense is driving into the red zone from their own 2-yard line.....said qb is "concussed" and is pulled by the refs and the team then loses.... can them being pulled be challenged?
That’s why it’s an independent neurologist. Not the refs, but a licensed medical specialist whose license would be on the line if they let a concussed player continue to play.

And the Jets during that same time periid signed John Huarte, Heisman winner out of Notre Dame who I thought was going to be the better QB. But hey, that’s when I was in my “yout”!

NFL news reporting on Drake concussion said:

1. he played only 2 plays after the hit (a handoff to RS & an incomplete).
2. that he was pulled for concussion protocol at COACHES DECISION

Everyone posting here seems to be saying different things????
What do you expect from a bunch of homers?

Not true, having played sports you understand what's what. Meaning, if within a short while you start feeling normal again with no signs of anything..then yeah you just got your bell rung a bit. If you show any signs of anything else, then you are done. I mean Edeldude got rocked din 49, probably concussed but they let him play.
Medical specialists tell us that’s still a concussion, based on extensive peer reviewed research and publications.

Please describe your credentials and provide pointers to the body of knowledge supporting your claims to the contrary, so we can properly review and evaluate those.

Thanks.

“This is the worst it’s ever been in history” says Jets fan who has only been able to understand what he was watching since around 2014

And I'm guessing Maye out for the year "out of an abundance of caution"
Let’s hope so.

We’ve already seen enough to know he’s ready, as soon as he has an adequate supporting cast around him.

All the threads discussing trade deadline strategy are saying sell everything, this season is lost.

So why risk Drake becoming the next Tua?
