Agreed. We are such a bad team we needed the boost of being 1 score down, not 2. Analytics can go **** themselves.
So you’d rather find out you needed another score with 45 seconds left than with 9 minutes?

24 should be cut tomorrow for that PR TD Unblocked and either made no effort to make the tackle or doesn’t understand how to play football and tackle people.
That was Dell Pettis, another one of those UDFA “finds” by this HORRIBLE front orifice.

The problem with your logic is the assumption that we are a functional NFL team. We're not.

My main interest at this point in the season is Drake Maye. As such my main worry at this point in the season is someone doing a Mac Jones on Drake Maye. If we ruin this kid I'll just about be done with both the Pats and the NFL. You have been warned, Thunder!
The man to blame if Maye is injured or driven to distraction as Mac Jones was (Thankfully, Drake seems made of stronger stuff than Mac.) is Eliot Wolfe. I honestly do not see how that goddam fool's ill-judgement regarding the o-line and to a lesser degree the weapons at Drake's disposal is not already a fireable offense. Wolfe is a preening nepo punk. I don't know why they keep him around. I wouldn't.

You must’ve missed the play last week when he was nearly broken in two by the Houston DE Anderson… Probably where he damaged his knee also…

Who gives a ****. He got hurt playing in a contact sport what a surprise.

He went right back out there like a man and played better this week than last. How about that?

This is where the coaching can help him...scheme a couple easy catches - smoke routes...quick outs...rub routes...etc. Short catches to increase his confidence as this is 100% what this is - he's in his own head overthinking everything.
True, but it does not help that that head is firmly stuck up his ass.

I give a ****. Gosh, I hope that doesn't make me some sort of sissy. I was an English major, after all, so there is already reason for concern on that front.

You're watching the wrong sport if you're worried about Drake Mayes health.

"Analytics can go **** themselves." Words to live by, in sports as in many other things. People think bean-counting analytics are the highest form of human reflection. Such people are fools. In the arena of politics, they are dangerous fools.

So I am a sissy. I suspected as much. I once even wrote a poem.

My comment about Drake being a man was nothing more than me saying that he isn't worried about it so neither am I.

Getting hurt is part of the business.

To be fair since Maye has been playing the line hasn’t been as horrible.

We can critic Wolf for not trying hard enough to find a front line OT but I will give him credit for finding guys of the street being able to somehow play decent enough.

I understand that perspective, and I do think that Drake's quick decision-making makes the o-line look better than it actually is, but the ability of Wolfe's staff to rummage through castoffs and find barely adequate players does not alter my view of his work. It remains the weakest o-line in the league, or close to it. How the Hell can you give a guy credit for that "accomplishment"?

Right now, no, but with a lot of work he could be ok. He has the basic skill set , he just seems not close to NFL ready.
I’d demote him to WR 4 and include him in certain packages and let him get 8-10 reps a game and work him hard in practice.

Demote him to WR4?!? How about demoting him to a game-day INACTIVE like he deserves to be?

Jake the Latest Fake sucks. His comically over-drafted ass won’t be here one year from now.
He played 2 games. In those games, he played better than any of the guards we have in there now. If they get rid of him, they either have brought in 5 better interior OL than anyone we have now (which would be great) or they don't know what they're doing.

We haven’t played the run well all year. Getting run on 29 of 30 plays and allowing them to walk down the field is bad coaching and unmotivated players.

AND an utter lack of NFL-caliber Talent, thanks to Bill, Wolfie & Al Groh’s kid.
