Mahomes nor prime Brady would get this team to the postseason. Nobody is super human enough to overcome bad coaching, bad defense, zero playmakers on offense, and a bad OL.
We made crucial mistakes at multiple points of the game that would have let us come out with the W despite our lack of elite talent. Need to clean up some poor technique.
Offense is a work in progress. OL still shuffeling, but has moments. They improved pass protect at the expense of run blocking - which is horrendous. But it's not AVP's fault. There's hope on offense.
But the MAJOR problem on this team is the Front 7. Everyone assumed the D would just return to last year's level.
Mayo & DC have destroyed this D with the worst fundamentals and discipline on D than any team in the league.
It only took 4 games for this D to regress so badly, after the Jets destroyed us, they haven't corrected anything.
Mayo should demote DC and hire Vrabel as DC immediately.
You already needed 2 scores. You kick the xp and then hope to get another td and give them your best 2 pt conversion play.. Instead we needed 2 scores with less time after the missed 2 pt attempt.
Inexcusable. He should be fired today, and that isn't sarcasm. If your head coach is so incompetent he can't get basic situational football right, he should be gone. It's not the only issue, but emblematic of it all. He is not ready to be a HC, and he may never be. The "Give Mayo more time" crowd needs to stow it.
