The call on Mapu was a bad pi but it would have been a correct illegal contact.

They ran for 200 yards and moved the ball at will. The score was indicative of the game. We deserved to allow 41

No it was within 5 yards of the los as Steratore said. Should have been no penalty. He was incredulous, and he always gives the refs the benefit of the doubt.

My point is that without the officials gifting them 11 points through the first 33 minutes of the game, it's 10-7 not 21-7. Then you throw in the 2 pretty ridiculous plays of Hooper's fumble and the tipped ball becoming an INT, and you have a 1 score game throughout. This team isn't good enough to survive the combination of unusually bad calls + unusually bad breaks.

BB had defenses with less talent than this performing at a high level. Preparation, in-game adjustments, and schemes matter. They should hire Saleh as DC after they fire the current staff, which Kraft won't because that would be admitting he f'd up big time. We'll have to suffer through another losing season of being outcoached, undisciplined and overmatched before Mayo and Wolf get the boot.

This current staff will be here for a while. Everything is new here this is the re-establisment year. I think once we get a complete team around Drake it will look much better. I'm willing to give them at least until next season.. if it doesn't look any better then I think changes will have to be made. Those bad defensive units under Bill always had elite QB play to make up for the short comings. They just don't have the talent up front right now that's the main problem. You don't really have pure pass rushers. Uche is a disappearing act.

That's been our MO for weeks giving 200 on the ground its' going to be tough to win with even Maye giving that up on Defense. A Defensive mind HC like Mayo have to fix that.

People can harp on the coaching all they want if they don't have the players it will never change. Can't grow talent. Barmore, Bentley, peppers, all great against the run. Loosing those guys hurt the defense big time. I don't expect much from them.

It definitely wasn’t within 5 yards. The Los was the 5 and it happened in the end zone.

I dint think hoopers fumble is a “ridiculous” play, it’s a bad play that is exactly the kind that teams lose because of.
Blaming a turnover and TD allowed in a missed face mask call is kinda lame too, especially when your defense can’t stop them.

Every team has injuries. We totally abandoned adding front 7 players.
Mapu vs Peppers in the run game shouldn’t be earth shattering.
