Absolutely agree. I don't wreck my brain anymore on the defensive side.. it has nothing to do with coaching.. I'm sure mayo and covington aren't coaching them to not be good. They just don't have the guys available right now to affect the pass rush.
BB had defenses with less talent than this performing at a high level. Preparation, in-game adjustments, and schemes matter. They should hire Saleh as DC after they fire the current staff, which Kraft won't because that would be admitting he f'd up big time. We'll have to suffer through another losing season of being outcoached, undisciplined and overmatched before Mayo and Wolf get the boot.

Judon seems to have lost a step or two, let's hope that Wolf did not make the trade because he felt that there were good players to take his place. The way Judon handled the situation forced the teams hand, at least there was a decent return.
He’s lost more steps than that. Pro Football Reference has him at 5 total pressures in 6 games (0.83 per game) in Atlanta, down from 2.5 per game for his 2¼ seasons in New England. That’s exactly ? as many pressures per game in Atlanta compared to NE.

Even though it sucked that he had to go, it was the right move at the time. The lack of players stepping up should help shape the priorities at draft time. Wolf cannot completely ignore defense this time.

Tank Master Wolfe sleeping.
Wake up wolfy wolf..

Here comes the talk of 32 year old LB/DE hitting the wall dream on Judon have many years left and can still turn it on.

Agreed. The Pats should bolster the team continuously through FA and the draft.
Still think me and Real are the same persons even though we are joined at the hips?? unreal One-if.

What happened to all the special teams' lovers. They stunk this week. Why isn't Marcus Jones running back kicks. Texans exposed special teams by kicking them the ball instead of pushing it into the endzone.

Yep… I would never, Ever, EVAH concede the 30-yard line to the opponent; I mean how many of the KOs that have been returned this season have gone for big gains anyway?

Hasty is a terrible KO returner, too slow. And why can't Sly kick to the 3 yard line like Houston did all game?

He should just take a knee better field position right there. We are shooting ourselves in the foot having him run it out.

Ideally we can utilize fa to be able to go bpa in the draft this year. There could be an LT or 2 for a change that are attractive investments depending on if certain guys get extended. There are cbs and dl out there too from the looks. Alot can change but i would hope for a nice crop of fa this year. There are additional needs from cb/ol/dl but to me those are the only real dire areas that you cant afford to not draft high if you can’t address them in FA.

41-21 was a very misleading score. It was 14-7 at halftime, and 4 of Houston's first half points were unearned due to the bogus PI call in the ez on Mapu. Even Steratore said it was a completely wrong call. So it was really a 10-7 game at the half.

Then the first drive of the 3rd quarter, the refs miss the blatant face mask that took Gibson down. Instead of having a 1st down at the 37, it was 2nd & 10 at the 22, and that 2nd down play was the strip sack which led to a Houston TD. It's safe to say that the turnover & TD would NOT have occurred if we were 1st & 10 at the 37 with momentum on our side. Instead of 10-7 and driving, we're down 21-7.

We then have a bad 3 & out that led to another Texans FG, so what should have been a 13-7 score was 24-7.

Then the inept, basically unforced fumble by Hooper at our own 29. I mean, come on. That was almost as bad as Johnnu fumbling into the Saints LB's hands a couple of years ago. How do plays like this happen? 3 more gift points, so instead of 13-7 it's 27-7.

Then we score on the Hunter Henry TD to make it 27-14 when it should have been 14-13 OUR LEAD.

Then we force them to punt, probably the only time all day, and on the first play around our 25, Anderson tips Maye's pass and their DB makes an insanely lucky INT falling backward while completely covered & underneath our receiver. Meanwhile there were 2 similar tipped passes by Stroud that were in the air a long time and fell to the ground. Just very unlucky there, leading to a TD. Now it's 34-14 when it should have been 20-14 (or 14-13 if not for their lucky bounce of the ball).

Then we trade TD's with them to get to the final score of 41-21, when really it should have been a very close 1-score game.

It just wasn't our day if we had Break Tackles Battering Rham it would have been a closer game. Rham was a Big Void on Sunday don't discard his absence. That said that Hooper Fumble hurt also that Great/Ridiculous Int by that CB behind the back or head. I knew it wasn't our day then.

The call on Mapu was a bad pi but it would have been a correct illegal contact.

They ran for 200 yards and moved the ball at will. The score was indicative of the game. We deserved to allow 41

It wasn't our day. Yes Rham would have also made a diff, and also the OL injury list was comically long.

I think this team can play a lot better by just getting a few guys back and with Maye settling in. We'll win more than we lose in these remaining 11 games.

That's been our MO for weeks giving 200 on the ground its' going to be tough to win with even Maye giving that up on Defense. A Defensive mind HC like Mayo have to fix that.
