Wise has really been a letdown too after Uche. Im truly worried about this defense for this year, there doesn’t appear to be any fix for it besides barmore and if he does return its probably a good month away. Next year we need to invest big at cb and dl in fa.

A Very Good Pass Rusher like Judon helps "Them" that's why I was pissed when Judon was Traded. Most here didn't see the ramifications at the time yeah welcome to my club. I would have paid Judon over like Three players we resigned. We need to hit on another DE like K White.

What happened to all the special teams' lovers. They stunk this week. Why isn't Marcus Jones running back kicks. Texans exposed special teams by kicking them the ball instead of pushing it into the endzone.

Ja Hasty is such a wasted Roster Spot he brings nothing to the Team.

The defense was built as a smart, game plan driven defense with role players and depth.
They took away the brains, added no players at all in the off season (already dooming the type of defense it was by not adding any new blood) role players became full time players, and the game plans and coaching became average, and the depth is practice squad level.
The defense is going to continue to decline.
I saw all of this coming in the off season and people said I was crazy.

Coaching has definitely downgraded there it appears. We’ll see if mayo /covington suprises us and they settle in as the season goes but im not too hopeful. But after the judon trade you knew the only way the defense could be any better than average youd need the brains to perform. Its actually been worse than average.

Next year with barmore/bentley back and hopefully 3-4 impact signings along cb and dl they are at least talent wise legit.

Lol yup in fact i was bringing up judon in my response to Andy as you posted this. Once he was gone you knew uche was probably going to be invisible and white would be hung out to dry. That move looks really bad right now

Really hope we hit on a Hofer with that Third Rounder. Drake Maye will have to throw for 400yds for us to have a chance against a very good Team this year and we might still lose with this Third and First Can't Stop the Run Defense.

Yeah.. wise is an older guy. I really expect him to be a part time rusher at this point. They just really don't have the talent due to injuries and trading judon. They know that they need to add on defense. I've said personally CB was going to be an arra of need. So far no one in the rotation has separated themselves. Alex Austin, marco wilson or Bolden.

True, Uche was never the answer after year 1. We miss Guy on run plays, and don't really have an edge rusher. White is good but probably more effective from inside. White and Barmore would be a formidable pass rush interior.

Absolutely agree. I don't wreck my brain anymore on the defensive side.. it has nothing to do with coaching.. I'm sure mayo and covington aren't coaching them to not be good. They just don't have the guys available right now to affect the pass rush.

We Need some Offensive Tackles and another Very Good CB too off with the Scrubs.

Absolutely agree. Easier to find solid CB depth than OTs.. but we badly need both. Gonzo and Marcus are the top 2 CBs.

Jon needs to be in the slot, Marcus although not ideal is probably better on the outside right now.

Holes in the zones do seem extra big this season.

They are playing more zone this season becuase they don't currently have the talent in the front 7..

Yes when a player is operating with an official agent and then being confrontational with front office people it's a recipe for disaster. To make matters worse judon still hasn't gotten a new deal.

Yes wozzy buddy Marco wilson has been a dud. These guys are all 6ft CBs you'd love to utilize thier size but they aren't impactful at all. So Jon and Marcus are stuck playing bigger guys.

Doubt that he's in a better place and Cousins is balling their Defense will figure it out. Also that Third Rounder won't be at the Top of the Third Round Falcons are a Playoffs Team.
