Best I’ve felt after a Patriots loss… EVER…

Maye wasn’t ready earlier… that’s like saying you wanted a really good piece of bread while the ingredients were still flour, egg and water.

Waiting was smart…
No denying that.. but it's conflicting becuase he won the starting job and was forced to watch bad QB play.

imagine where Drake would be in his career had he started week 1.
Don't get me started again!
I think it takes 3-4 weeks for a rookie QB to get comfortable with the speed of the NFL and just running an offense in an NFL game. I'd rather just get them out of the way early.

No. I think I read bad info. I don't think Robinson has been benched. If he was benched it would be a big story in Jacksonville, I cannot find anything. And he is still listed as a starter in all the depth charts.

They are probably going to trade Robinson by the trade deadline if they can get a good deal, but it might be with a contender who is willing to give up a lot to get him.
We have our own picks plus extra Third Rounder we should be Players if he becomes available.

Agreed there. I think next week we will see a more calm Drake minimizing those mistakes.. I'm not expecting 3 TDs but hey if it happens I'll take it! When rham comes back we'll be more balanced..

We Need Rham back we Broke no Tackles yesterday at RB Gibby is probably still in the ice-box.

Yes.. I would like to see rham definitely. Also TT I need to see him with drake.. if he can't work out with Drake then I guess I have said the book is closed on him in NE.

He didn't win the job, he couldn't manage the huddle.

He won the job and you know he did. Who can't beat out Brissett.
If he won the job he would have been starting. Don't be silly.

The kid had trouble tying his shoes. This isn't Madden Football.

After the Texans, the Jags should be a walk in the park for Maye

3 td passes, including a long ball. We've all been hurting to see that. Definitely some mistakes... sensing pressure, seeing throwing lanes.... but he's further along than I'd hoped.

The team's penalties are worrisome. Mayo needs to clamp down on those.

Only other loss that really didn't bother me was regular season loss ( 24-17) versus Rams " greatest show on turf" in 2001. Pats were supposed to be blown out and proved they could play with them which helped when SB36 came around.

Looks like he had his shoes tied yesterday. Also the other thing he tied was TDs with Brissett except the kid had 3 in one game.

And I’ve been rooting for the Pats since they drafted Jim Plunkett.

Because this team decided to put a little mustard on the crap sandwiches it's been serving us, we now find them palatable? I get that Maye showed some reason for hope, but this was an embarrassing beatdown. I hate losing and there's been too much of that.

He definitely needs to refine his footwork. He needs to watch film of Tommy using the same mechanics throw after throw, it's like a golf shot. If you change it up on each throw, there will be no accuracy. The back foot has to be planted and he has to step into each throw. Too often Maye throws with his feet flat and facing his receivers, he doesn't have basic fundamentals down and makes the throw with his arm.

He has a strong arm so he gets away with it, but so did Bledsoe. This is why Bledsoe never became a hyper accurate passer, too much confidence in his arm and a lack of fundamentals. He needs to emulate Tom, not Drew. Become a passing robot, enough with this ready, fire, aim bullsht.

If he improves he's the QB of the future, if he doesn't he's Jeff George.
Yes he needs to get better but it's obvious he will. The big diff when comparing to both Brady and Bledsoe is his mobility to run and throw on the run. Footwork's a little less important when you have that.

If you’re not the players, or the coaches, or the GM, or the owners, how are you personally embarrassed by this? Especially with what happened behind center? I don’t get it.

What I like about Drake Maye is that he actually reached out to Tom Brady. Who better to be around and learn from than the GOAT of QB's and a legend of your own franchise? For some reason Mac Jones never did that. And maybe it wouldn't have made a difference because of talent and makeup. I have a good feeling about Drake Maye.

Here's what Tom Brady said about him:

pump the brakes a little. Maye had a lot of yards down over 2 scores. Let's see what he does against Jax, which should be a closer game.

Must say I am feeling pretty good about this past game. Finally something to have hope for in the future. WIth everything Jalopy did for us (not much but take a beating), I must say he's a consummate professional. Of course he is though, he's making millions this year and doesn't have to try to win the SB. Not so sure if things would be different if Maye had started the season, but nothing but good for us going forward. Let's "celebrate" this loss with a pint or several of guiness drought, not disgusting stout....The one thing I am worried about is the D. Has definitely taken several steps back. Judon, Bentley, and Barmore losses hurt bad. Wasn't there some other dude that had great knowledge of D? I for the life of me cannot remember his name. Must've only been here a year or so....
