Honest question, not trying to be snarky: Why would it NOT be Brissett? He knew what the situation was here when he signed, and all reports say he's a good teammate. Yeah, if Maye gets hurt and you have to put him back in, you know you're limited again, but that just means he's like every other backup QB in the league. Jacoby is respected by the team, even if there are players who think Maye would be better. If he's forced back in due to injury, no one in the locker room is going to bat an eye.

Also, nothing I saw in preseason made me think Milton was even close to ready.

Of course it's Brissett. He's not injured, and he's the highly qualified to be a reliable backup. He's just not a capable starter.

This Patriots OL may be the worst I have ever seen. And the Bears weapons are much better as well. For me Maye turning into a franchise is much Notre important Thant than winning games this season, or fan entertainment.

And what if he plays like Daniels and Williams is that a bad thing?? The original plan flopped because Brissett Sucks. I think they should have Signed Jump Ball Joe in FA If they wanted to sit Maye all year. It's absolute torture watching Brissett and they agree might as well give Maye the experience. I think he's going to be alright I liked all Thee QB's not necessarily in the order they were taken.

I was wanting Minshew rather than jalopy. Not sure that would have turned out much better though. The thought of Flacco being here makes me sick lol. **** even the huge eared astronaut kid qb, Josh dobbs could’ve been better than jalopy.

I think our record would be worse if he was the starter from the get go. Turnovers kill you and he’s a ticking turnover waiting to happen (see what I did there?). Not that our record could be much worse but the close games wouldn’t have been close.

Absolutely. Milton needs to learn some ball security and not crazy man waving it around while running. If he does that, he could be very special.

Well fortunately for me and unfortunate for you. I enjoyed watching elite QB play for 19 seasons. Not once did I worry about Brady's ACL or getting sacked. He was to busy throwing TDs. I know the line is a problem so was the QB. Bad line, Bad QB. Give me a good QB.
