The best thing the team could have done is not starting Drake.Did starting Caleb Williams in Houston and throwing a million times ruin his career?

Sorry best thing is starting DrakeDid starting Caleb Williams in Houston and throwing a million times ruin his career?
Well I agree but it’d be hard for the Bears to have started him.The best thing the team could have done is not starting Drake.
I meant best thing is to play him.Well I agree but it’d be hard for the Bears to have started him.
I’m just being a smartass lol.I meant best thing is to play him.
Tanking is a myth. The only people who can tank are the owner and GM, and that’s only if the owner gives the GM a pass on losing, coaches and players are judged by their record and play on tape. Neither are going to deliberately worse to get the organization a draft pick they will likely not be there for. Neither coaches or players are going to sacrifice future earnings by playing bad or coaching poorly so they will lose games for the franchise.
I think AVP is going to be able to run a good portion off his Offense with Maye it wouldn't surprise me if some RPO's are thrown in. IF Maye gash them a few times with some runs they'll have to call the dogs off. It's no mystery you to have a threat behind Center which Maye might be and Brissett is not.Maye goes for around 200 with at least 1 TD and we are feeling much better a week from today as we prepare for our trip to London.
Agreed, perfect situations don't exist. However, obviously BAD situations exist where risk clearly outweighs reward, and this is definitely one of those. I do not look at this decision and see prudent acceptance of risk given the overall plan for the rebuild. This is an emotionally based decision that is a reaction to losing. This team, to include the coaching staff, lacks the requisite discipline to execute what their own plan is, or was. Putting Maye in now is desperation with a high chance of failure and small chance of success. Maye could end up injured physically, psychologically, and also professionally by developing bad habits that are counter-productive. See Sam Darnold for example....If they wanted him behind a healthy o-line he should have started week 1. This is the NFL. Perfect situations dont exist.
And if you remove QBs from the equation it becomes a bit more disparate, as QB busts weigh down the top slots more than they do any other segment.
I did a 5 minute Google search here is some historical data. It exists and I'm sure teams have better data then my quick search found.
Getting your ACL shredded is…Sitting on the bench watching a ****in BUM play instead of you is Psychologically damaging.
No, I can't see the future, but I'm making a probabilistic argument. It's risk, not certainty. Would you let your kid drive a car if you noticed the lug nuts weren't tightened, knowing the probability of failure was much higher than normal? Would you say to your kid, "That's just life, it's dangerous"? You might do it if a tornado was close, but what if that car was just going to the local McDonald's? The Pats are going to McD's this year, Mayo/Wolf can't seem to tighten the lug nuts, therefore Drake shouldn't drive. You keep saying this, but you don't have Guaranteed Pre-Vision.
Some guys get hurt, it's fkn NFL FOOTBALL, not Ballet Dancing.
The 19 pressure, 2 sack line, where 10 pressures came right up the middle, all despite having extra protection in on the majority of plays? I really, really hope he's not hurt. I hope the dice fall in his favor. If the line from last weekend shows up Sunday, Maye should be fine. I would guess it will be a lot of running with some shot plays.
Or they lineup 5 wide and let him sling it.
If the other driver was about to drive the car over a cliff with the whole team in it I'd at least consider letting a family member try to turn it around despite the lug nuts. No, I can't see the future, but I'm making a probabilistic argument. I say that it's not worth the risk this season. You disagree, saying it's the NFL, not ballet. The difference between you and me is that I can do an expected value calculation.
That ship has sailed. He knows they don't value him. If KC kicks him of the PS, maybe.Zappe!
The Bears OL ranks near the bottom of the league tooI didn’t realize Caleb Williams was playing behind the Patriots OL?
How is risking more losses with this team a catastrophic event? With the right leadership, a team can turn around after years of futility. Every year starts with new hope. But you know what would be catastrophic? A big hit to Drake that causes a severe shoulder injury, forever impacting his mechanics and arm strength. He's going to get a lot of big hits. Let's cross our fingers. If the other driver was about to drive the car over a cliff with the whole team in it I'd at least consider letting a family member try to turn it around despite the lug nuts.
Expect such phone messages as,"You hurt my binky. I wiw kiw yoo now."I swear to god if it happens and people associate it with me I am coming after you. LOL
