Just seeing a passing TD happen in consecutive games is going to feel like a winning streak.
They've scored...5 touchdowns all year. I admire your optimism.

not for nothing, but i called week 6 before the season started as when Maye would take the reigns........I nailed the SF score, and now this......and my ex-wife says I'm always wrong!!!!
week 6? Interesting...

@Ian needs to add a prop bet to the casino... when will Maye start

No, I know and I think you're right about covering some of the flaws, but he'll probably also expose his own flaws. I just think we're going to suck with Maye or without him. Though hopefully it'll be a bit more interesting with Maye. This year isn't about winning games or trying to squeak into the playoffs. It's who is progressing and who needs to be replaced: players and coaches?
I'd be willing to accept all drakes flaws if he plays becuase he's a rookie he will continue to grow his game the more he plays. As opposed to watching a veteran continue to make rookie mistakes each game. I saw flacco have a big day yesterday he'd been a better option he played under AVP. The fascination with Brissett was In retrospect a terrible decision.

They all say that.

I predicted the Pats players going Gangsta because a Players HC is soft and the players dont really respect or fear them. I didnt see it coming so soon though.

Give me mcaddoo or TC calling plays and Drake as my QB.
who is TC?

I know who mcadoodoo is... but TC?

Only TC I know is a helicopter pilot...

He can be ruined by a single play. "But that can happen to any QB!" Take to the totality of circumstances into account:

* Drake is young and raw

* The OL is truly awful

* There's a real, heightened risk of injury

* Developmentally, it could set him back significantly to not have time to throw and to take a lot of hits

* The team is going nowhere

Anyways, I've heard it all... The line is bad because of JB... The line isn't really bad at all... Drake is ready... Drake isn't ready... I think all of this is a reaction to nearly unwatchable games. People want to be entertained. So throw the kid in there! Sure, as long as that kid's name is Milton.
Should we sit him for 3 1/2 years then he only has to get through 8 genes without being injured.
What good is drafting him if you don’t develop him?

The QBs coach TC McCartney
The feeling I got seeing Drake playing in the pre-season.. that Washington game.. just has me yearning for more... I feel like whenever he plays.. it will be more of those types of throws than not. I know he's not a savior.. but...

I don't think this organization will intentionally tank, especially for what? A left tackle in the top 5?

I think they are just bad.
They won’t tank on the field but the tank (intentional or not) was done by the front office in refusing to upgrade the roster.

This isn't the week to start Maye. Not even close, they just held Allen to 9 completions. That isn't a recipe for success for your first NFL start.

I'm aware it's hyperbole. It's also an attempt to paint people who disagree with you as unreasonable, and that's why I challenged you on what you really meant. Note that I put "forever" it quotes.

No heightened chance of injury behind this travesty of an OL? Not worried about starting a kid with the decked stacked against him? Not worried about a severe injury that knocks him out for the rest of the season and half of next? That's just football, right?
I'm not convinced the OL is as bad as it seems. I think Brissett is making a below average OL look historically bad

I don't think fans are going to attend games to see a Brissett led team anymore. Everyone knows what he is. A decent backup. Fans would be excited about getting a look at the future in Maye. If the team finishes 3-14, yet Maye looks legit, there is hope.

Fans need hope. There is none right now. That affects business.

Patriots have gone from some of the best QB play in history to the worst. From Tom Brady to injured Newton, Mac Jones, Zappe, and now Brissett.

This tweet confirms there is no plan. Last week we were told it would be awhile before Maye would play and this week we are told it is imminent. Clearly the master plan from which the Pats were not going to deviate, completely changed in one week. That means there is no plan. Shefter gets all of his tweets from the Krafts.

What changed in one week? A 1-4 record and losing to the Dolphins? Fans showing up this week in Cleveland with bags over their heads - and the Krafts do not want that? Ticket prices on the after market are collapsing? Fans are booing? Fans are leaving early?

Clearly there are no QB savants on the Pats coaching staff who know better than everyone else. Clearly Maye's physical well being behind our OL is not a concern in Foxboro. The Krafts changed the plan on a Monday after a Sunday loss. Why? What is clear is that there never was a master plan.
