Apparently the Pats are in need of a bag of footballs, Tyquan Thornton is available for trade

Supposedly the Panthers may have interest .... just chatter FWIW.

he may be fast and this may sound harsh but his face screams “jag/bust”

****, people were going after the lady who handles contracts saying she had control over the roster earlier this year.
I dont think the roster but I consider her a spy for Jonathan.

When you dont trust your workers, you're in for problems

Groh is heavily involved in the draft evaluation process including doing post-draft review interviews every year. Google "Matt Groh draft interview".

Maybe you were being sarcastic?
Can you show me a link. From when? He was moved off of that a couple years ago.

Any WR on the team would probably find that to be good news. The Pats are becoming a graveyard for WR’s.
Our entire WR room is on a pace for 960 receiving yards this year. We not only don’t have a 1000 yard receiver we don’t have a 1000 wr UNIT.

How does this one grab you?
Devante Parker and Juju had more receiving yards per game last year that any WR on our roster has this year.
The 2 of them alone put up less than 3 fewer receiving yards per game last year than all of our WRs combined have this year.

It's interesting because in 2022 he was the Director of College Scouting, but then was promoted to Pro Personnel. It's very possible that the college stuff still comes across his desk.

Unfortunately the Patriots site is buggy today so I couldn't hear the tone of his discussion.
Groh's title is Director of Player Personnel. Could mean anything.

You can't coach speed. Tyquan is one of the fastest receivers in the league. Hey may suck as a receiver but we don't even really know because haven't had a QB who can consistently get him the ball deep.
Well Bob Hayes was a track star *but* he could get open and catch the ball. We heard most of training camp how great T.T. was looking running e”with the first team. Season starts and after 5 games he has a 0.4 receptions per game average with all that speed. Fact is, he doesn’t seem to have anything to offer but speed and we couldn’t get a 2028 7th rounder for him at this point. Play Baker and Bourne (when healthy) and just cut our losses. Like most 2nd rounders since 2000 not named Gronk, Light, Branch, Vollmer, Vereen, Dugger (?) Barmore, & White (?) we pickef a LoT of wrong guys snd T.T. Is a role model for “wrong guys picked”!.

The person to whom you refer has the title "executive vice president of football business and a senior advisor to the head coach."

Now I am not saying she has control over the roster, but it sure sounds like she does more than simply cross the t's and dot the i's on player contracts.

I couldn’t understand why we drafted another “project” over an SEC stud like George Pickens. When we traded UP in the second round in 2022 for a WR, I thought for sure Pickens was the guy. Tyquan had Taylor Price written all over him

Most of it has to do with the QB and O-line. No doubt Mac was bad, but I warned posters Brissett would be worse and so far he hasn’t disappointed. Bro’s on pace for 6.5 passing TD’s.

Bourne is going to be back. That means Thornton is going to see less field time than he already is. I think Bourne starts. Osborn gets demoted and the starters are Bourne, Polk, and Pop.
Osborn was clearly a disappointing signing. Although I didn't expect much from him to begin with.

Maybe the Pats should wait until they have Maye starting and we see if that makes a difference with Thornton.

In other news Chad Ryland was 3-4 today for Arizona, including the game winner vs SF.

Maybe there is just something toxic in the Pats environment.

He does well in camp when he gets balls thrown his way. How many targets has he had where the ball actually gets to him during live games?

When we threw a few long passes to him a few games ago he actually drew a PI.
