Bedard's source says Maye isn't ready to start and there are things with the offense that he is "working through"

Very logical and quite possible
I'm starting to lean more towards that being the case.. Jacoby could care less about his abysmal numbers he's just happy to be a NFL starting QB.. he'll play with an ACL..

Now there's a thought. What if he has been playing through something, but has gamely kept his mouth shut about it? He knows he may never start again once he misses a single game.
Well the only injury that would be a reasonable excuse for his play would be a brain injury.

I wouldn’t worry about that. There is zero chance Milton will be named starter if Maye is healthy.
I'm not so comfortable predicting what this organization will do anymore. It seems clear that the new regime is off to an abysmal start, in part from poor decision making and assessments.

You need to take the human factor into account. How's Drake going to feel when a fellow rookie who isn't nearly is good as he is gets named starting QB over him? A competitor like Drake isn't going to stand for that. "Oh Drake, we're just trying to protect you!" Nah, not going to fly. If they do it, Drake's tenure in NE will be off to a terrible start.
How do you think he feels now being told the slug we are playing gives us a better chance to win than him? They are almost saying they feel they made a bad pick

They could simply began to turn the season around by inserting maye.. but they won't and I'm forced to accept it.

As long as we have our HOF owner, you know we will land on our feet.

I don't think you can continue to imply this much longer before it becomes a problem. It might already have cropped up based on some reports this week.

Gotta stick to the " PLAN" lmao.

Not sure if that's sarcasm, but he's the primary reason we are where we are now. Not the only reason, but the primary one. The buck stops with him.

This feeling is reminiscent to last season when players were out on Mac. Remember similar type of talk. I believe guys respect Jacoby but they see maye in practice everyday and know he's the better QB even as a rookie.

"he wants to throw the ball, hes really good at it. but the way our team is coached, we're exclusively about running it, and sometimes drake audibles to a good pass play and it scores a touchdown, but doesn't burn the clock. We want fast, clock burning drives, not points"

What is this from?

I’d be fine with that if I saw a plan.
I struggle to find decisions, direction, or establishment of culture that I feel good about.
I wish it was there, I’d love to be shown the positives that have happened since february to change my mind.

Reports from guys at camp NOT named Bedard and frankly the eye test from the preseason games. He wasn't there then, but sure as hell isn't "a ways away" 6 weeks or so later.
I don't know if he's ready or not. What's the bar? Many teams have started rookie QBs they figured were ready and it's been disastrous. What I do know is that "ready" in this context must include "ready to start behind a historically atrocious OL." They run the real risk of seriously injuring him or ruining him, to what end? What is potentially gained? Is it worth the potential loss? If the reports are true that the OL isn't a consideration in the decision, the entire Pats' lack-of-brains-trust should be fired immediately.

If this is true, fire them all immediately. But it can't be true, right?

What the fuk is this person talking about?

Lay off the…

It's very apparent to me. They are thinking we don't want to screw the QB up like we did with Mac. So put our #3 pick and out best chance to win and look competent to attract FAs next year in a glass case. Pathetic plan
