He’ll be playing soon.
Assuming this is true, sit him as long as he needs. Bedard wouldn't say what it is that he is working through. But he says Rapaport's report that Maye is a ways away is what he is hearing.
He can have outplayed Jacoby and still be in a place where they don't think he's ready. Jacoby has been a lot worse than most of us thought meaning the bar to pass him was also lower than we realized. This is BS. The dude outplayed Brissett in the preseason which really didn’t take much.

Brock Purdy lit up NE's less vanilla defense looks....and he was Mr. Irrelevant.I wonder how he's looking against less vanilla defense looks.
Just imagine another home loss against Miami. The immense pressure the organization would be under. This is BS. The dude outplayed Brissett in the preseason which really didn’t take much.

Great post! As I've said I pay attention to what teams do, not so much what they say. Zap was released and maye was made the #2.. that was Done for a reason. Becuase he's ready. They don't want to admit the OL is the barrier. If this is true, why haven't the Pats gotten a vet backup QB to back up Brissett? That guy is one good hit from Drake "a ways away" Maye from starting.
We all know the obvious that Drake is more than ready. Go figure cousins had in one game almost as much as Brissett has on the season. Another loss Sunday I think we see maye. What do you think? He can have outplayed Jacoby and still be in a place where they don't think he's ready. Jacoby has been a lot worse than most of us thought meaning the bar to pass him was also lower than we realized.
I say play the kid but clearly there is something holding the collaboration back from doing it. 2 best theories would be the state of the OL or that Maye just isn't ready. At this point I think you'd be very hard to find someone who thinks Jacoby is the reason.
Bedard said that is Maye goes in, they might need to simplify the offense for him. That's interesting. There's clearly some part of the offense that Maye just isn't getting yet.Great post! Yeah possible. However just last week it was mentioned that AVP already installed some UNC parts of the offense specially for Drake as they liked that part of his game and want to have it in the offense.Bedard said that is Maye goes in, they might need to simplify the offense for him. Tua cant return until week 8 and Skylar Thompson is banged up.Just imagine another home loss against Miami. The immense pressure the organization would be under.

I hope so. But Miami has more to work with that we do. I would not be surprised to see a struggle.Tua cant return until week 8 and Skylar Thompson is banged up.
Very good shot that the Pats get a much needed win.
