I’m not convinced Thornton isn’t the odd man out. At least KJ can block. Thornton does nothing in this offense…actually any offense so far. Might have better luck elsewhere
Don't sleep on T Thornton I think he has excuses Mac Jones now Brissett. By the way what's your take on Georgia's QB Carson Beck?? Thanks in advance.

I really wonder if we will see Kromah this week, lighter quick guy next to Godchaux or allowing white to move inside by playing edge.

Thornton…for a burner he just seems to struggle to get open on film.

Beck…my opinion has long been that he’s probably an NFL backup and spot starter.

Has some physical tools but of his eyes drop to move or avoid rush, they don’t come back up.

Looked better than he was last year because of unbelievable talent around him.

Honestly Stetson Bennett was a better QB.

Georgia really needs a stud “I’m HIM” QB one of these years.

I think that whether Thornton would do better elsewhere is irrelevant to the team, unless someone want to give us a draft pick.

He is our inexpensive asset, signed through 2025. He may or may not be good enough to be our #4 or #5 WR or #6 WR in 2024 or 2025.

Also, he might look better with Maye as our QB.

For me, we have Bourne, Polk and Douglas. We also have Baker as a developmental player.
========
So, we have 4, including Baker.

Who else should we keep on the 53? The 4th WR will likely get few reps, and the 5th WR almost one.

We need someone to spread the Defense, someone who has downfield potential. Still, we could keep Osborne and ONE of Boutte and Thornton. I have no strong feelings with regard to who we should cut. If we focus on 2025, Osborne should go. We have 3 with ptention of being a downfield 2025 receiver: Thornton, Boutte and Baker.

depending on how this game goes, I may or may not stop watching this season. I'm only really interested in committing 4 hours to watching competitive football, and so far the last couple of games has been anything but.

Horrible job by the front office thus far.

Yes, the Front Office needed to have OL's that don't get injured. SIX of the OL's were on the injury report yesterday (in addition to Strange and Jake Andrews being out).

If we have a healthy OL starting for 2 weeks in a row and Bourne back, this team can then start Maye and be competitive in many of their game (of course not all).

Run the ball effectively and then we win the game. It’s that simple.

Ray Nitschke played "mean"...
At the end of a lot of plays, just after the whistle was blown, he would fly just over the pile, hoping somebody would start to to stand up a little too quick. He couldn't play today. Intimidation was his game.

They didn't do much running the ball last week. 70-some yard, I think it was. I'd check. but I wouldn't want to deprive anybody of the pleasure of telling me I'm wrong.

This season is useless. If sticking to “a plan” requires an empty shell standing in at QB who can’t see the field, doesn’t throw the ball accurately or with any anticipation, and waits too long to throw causing the limited OL to be the scapegoat, then this administration has already resigned to just lose games before they arrive at the field.
That’s a crime at the ownership level.
It’s not about saving or developing the young QB, it’s about fleecing the fans with a carrot of hope.

I think you’re engaged in what the psychologists call projection.

The only cream puffs in the nfl are three teams. Two are playing each other this weekend.

The other is where Hurricane Helene caused much damage.
Oddly the Titans, Panthers, Jaguars and Dolphins are all rated lower than Patriots on PFF YTD. Bears are only 2 spots ahead of Patriots.
They could get to 5 wins just beating teams worse than them! 6 wins by also beating the Bears.
Does that make the season successful? Most people predicted 4 wins.
With Brissett they are just as likely to lose all those games but point is:

NFL has many bad teams.

Hudson, a center and the last cut by the Lions that we recently picked up, really played well this preseason.

Be prepared to be pleasantly surprised Sunday if he plays!

that plan only works when the defense holds teams, which they can't because they are constantly gassed due to the inability to run the ball, since the defense can stack 9 dudes in the box knowing Jacoby can't process at an nfl level anymore.

Looking forward to seeing what Leverett can do from here at center. Thought he held up well last game and was nice to see him show some visible fire when he was called in.

In general, if this OL is going to be a patchwork situation, at least find a way to be nasty out there. Gotta be an ******* in the trenches!
