Kraft blew the resigning of Brady and Belichick right now I'd say the incompetence completely lies with him and Jonathan.

At least in Brady's case they hung onto him as long as the contract aloud them to. They actually fired Bill a year to early only to have this garbage instead.
The cause of the "garbage" isn't that BIll was fired (He was retained for at least one or two years too long). The cause of the garbage is the Krafts' failure to run a legitimate professional hiring process, which has given us a sub-par coaching and front office staff.

I strongly disagree.

I like the coaches on Defense, on Special Teams, at OL, and on Maye (McAdoo).

AVP is likely to be the weak link and may not be here for 2025.

This is a 2-4 year rebuild (Maye's contract period), and the coaches will also learn as the team develops.

Disagree.

They should have held onto their HoF QB as long as they could to avoid being in the spin cycle of sucky QBs.

They should have held onto their HoF Coach as long as they could to avoid being in the spin cycle of sucky coaches.

These things don't just come around that easily and I will never understand why they would rush to let either leave. In Brady's case his contract was up and they had little choice but they are actually paying Bill to watch someone else suck.

Mind boggling to me. I think it's disrespectful to both Bill and Brady and to the NFL as whole that you would just cast off the two greatest things the NFL has ever seen.

If there was ever an exception to be made for age, Brady was the one. I believe if Tom stuck around Pats win #7 and become the winningest franchise of all time for Super Bowls.

Bill became a sucky coach as well as GM. That was the problem. Mayo may or may not be in that category but unlike the Brady situation in this case it was time for a change.

Unbelievable.

Did they?
4-13 and all....
Maybe they should have fired him after 5-11 then you'd be happy.

The longer you carry on the more I think you are a clown.

You aren't the only one with your opinion but you are the loudest one and most insescent one and it's extremely annoying. And stop using me to fight with other members. Maybe consider that there are very few members who are only team Bill or only team Brady and that the majority of us are team Both.

I mean you do know you're on a message board for Patriots fans right most of us here to talk football and reminisce about guys like Bill and right now you are not bringing a lot to the table for anyone to enjoy.

You said they fired him a year too early. I think it was a year too late.

When I see dumb posts trying to gaslight I call them out. Nothing more, nothing less.

See above.

I've been very positive about Bill many times here.

Public Service Announcement for the Out-of-Towners, via 506 Sports

As would be expected, this game is televised only in New England and south Florida.

Fox Single Game

?Cleveland @ Washington - Jason Benetti, Greg Olsen
?Carolina @ Chicago- Kenny Albert, Jonathan Vilma
?Miami @ New England - Chris Myers, Mark Sanchez

?Arizona @ San Francisco (LATE) - Kevin Burkhardt, Tom Brady
?Las Vegas @ Denver (LATE) - Kevin Kugler, Daryl Johnston

Odd that they are televising the Arizona-49ers game in Tampa; they usually broadcast a Miami game there if possible. I guess Fox thinks Buc fans will want to tune in to hear Brady?

A little surprised. Pats and Dolphins are both national names even if neither are great teams.

Haven't been through the thread:

Sione Takitaki , Kendrick Bourne, and Marte Mapu have all started practicing today.

Looks like Dave Andrews is heading to the IR and it will be season ending..

Pats need a LT and OC in next years draft.

It's not as if there are 49er or Cardinal fans in that area, 3,000 miles away.

The most compelling game is Buffalo-Houston on CBS early; perhaps they were attempting to avoid going head-to-head against that game.

The other thing the networks tend to do is broadcast a game of another team in the division; in this case Carolina at Chicago. They passed on that as well.

Any word if we can expect any of them this Sunday or just starting the week window and we still need to be patient?

A depressing thought to consider - is Brissett actually much better than Huntley?

Great time here for apple picking and leaf peeping...
Probably going to get some work done.
If Mayo was gonna start they would have announced it by now

This offense is one of the worst I've ever seen, but I've only been watching games since 1958.
I've been a "Die Hard" Patriot Fan for 53 years and I too agree that this offense appears to be one of the worst I've ever seen. Looking back, I can remember some really bad offenses. But what I think makes our current offense appear be so horrible is that historically when the Pats sucked it was kind of the norm.

In recent history, our offense has played so well not only with Brady at QB but we also had play makers like Troy Brown, Julian Edelman and too many other players on both offense and defense too mention that almost always seemed to make the crucial winning play at the right time.

After listening to the radio feed through NFL+ this past Sunday, I heard one fiasco after another. Rushers breaking through the line untouched, holding on to the ball too long over and over again, not seeing open receivers, fumbles, dropped passes, by the time the game was over I couldn't help but feel disgusted with this team.

One of the things that the announcers said just before halftime was that we should be seeing Maye starting the third quarter and my hope was alive. But no Maye in the second half and of course the second half sucked as badly as the first.

Even before the Bledsoe and Brady days, I always seemed to have hope that things would get better for our team.

My hope is in extremely short supply for the Patriots right now. . .

Then he gets buy-in by being a good coach. His being a former player doesn't afford him a pass from players if he's not a good coach whether it's been a day or ten years and I'd wager that the players have also "speculated" on whether he is a good coach or not.
From the players perspective they don't need to "speculate" because they are seeing behind closed doors and we are not hence the need for us to speculate based on results.

The hope entirely lies in Maye. This was probably true regardless of what we did but it would have been nice to see us try anything else that might have helped.

I really want to see Maye play, but not sure if he is going to get any run on Sunday. I didn't understand why Maye did not get anytime on Sunday. So today I am looking for potential bright spots: The dolphins do not seem to have stud pass rushers like the 4 teams that we just played. Theoretically, JB will have more time.

This might be misguided optimism, but this could be a game that he looks competent as a NFL QB. The OL should also be able to do relatively well, so I am hoping this is where things start turning around.
