Probably better of having Marcus on hill and gonzo on Waddle.. I don't trust J..Jones at this point and I like him.
One of the reasons I like Jonathan as much as I do is he's done well vs Tyreek through the years. But even still I think you have to put Gonzo on Tyreek.

I originally thought this would be the day Maye would start but I have already resigned myself to the fact that it's not happening. With how many injuries they are now dealing with on the OL, I get it. Rough situation for a rookie learning the game.

Then it's back for a home game against the Jets. I think this might be a new sensible target game for Drake if the OL is healthier. It's an opponent he has seen on film already and it's at home. After that, the next 6 games are not too rough - at Tennessee, at Chicago, home vs LA Rams, at Miami, home vs Indianapolis, BYE, at Arizona - before finishing the final 3 tougher games at Buffalo, home vs LA Chargers, and home vs Buffalo.
Yeah, Miami is perfect setup for Maye to play, but clearly they are not playing him with Robinson and Jacobs starting on the line.
I don't see a spot for him until the Rams game. I think they will 100% only start his first game at home. After what the Jets did to them on Thursday with blitzes and pressures, I can't see them throwing him in against the Jets. After that next home game is Rams so I'm picking that game.

IF they don't do the Rams game with him and plan on playing him this year the Colts game makes sense as they have a bye week after so could play him vs Colts, have tape to help with development and then have the Bye week to prepare for the first road game.
Or they are just waiting until Jacoby gets hurts so they have no choice.
I'm also convinced they are not playing him until they have 2 weeks of a real starting offensive line together and the line is playing ok.

Agreed. J. JONES is a year older and he's been dealing with nagging Injuries. Waddle has been a guy that's really hurt us too

Even with Jacoby it is a winnable game. Hopefully they can scoot through with the ground game and then get some better OL health for the next week. The Houston game will be a loss in all likelihood regardless. The Jacksonville game is, hopefully, winnable in London with a healthier OL and some other guys possibly back. If that's all correct, you're looking at being 3-4, while being 3-2 in the conference and 1-1 in the division.

I think thats the best you can hope for here. 3-4 going into that jets game with hopefully Andrews, dugger, and maybe jordan back (strange?). But for maye i might wait until Tennessee even though its away just based on what happened in the last jets game.

We won't immediately know the injury status of our best players for this game.

Not only are Bentley and Barmore gone, but now we're worried about Kyle Dugger, Anfernee Jennings, David Andrews, several OL including Wallace and Lowe, and even Peppers and Keion White were dinged and out of the game.

This is a lot to lose. We need Dugger, Anfernee, Andrews and even Vederian Lowe to come back.

Heck, Marte Mapu needs to make an appearance at this point as well.

If the Pats pull this one off, that would mean 1-1 in the division and 2-1 vs conference. Could be worse.

Pats beat Skylar Thompson last time, not sure what his status would be for next weekend. I guess our first win over Tua will have to wait and probably for a while. Thought this was a great game for Maye to be named starter but that will probably have to wait too.

Mostert who has had the Pats number lately is banged up and questionable for tonight. Guessing that status won't change for next week either.
They are playing Huntly tonight. He can scramble, probably better than Thompson.

I might go Marcus there but either way hopefully we can do better on Waddle it's not like he's a size mismatch for either Jones.

The thing about sucking is it hurts a little bit more. Probably a little psychology and probably a little bit of constantly being out manned.

He's not but with Jon's age and diminished play.. he allowed a RB yesterday to beat him for 50 yards, Marcus on hill, gonzo on Waddle let j.jones take the slot guy

Winnable game even with the injuries and JB starting.

Some of y'all need to be talked off the ledge.

They are perfectly fine playing Maye behind this injured OL if Brissett gets injured ! So they are fined risking the plan if Brissett is injured but they aren’t ready to risk it if they actually have to make the decision themselves. Seems like a bunch of coward to me.

They are holding back the entire offense because they are scared to make a tough decision. That’s a loser mentality

I think Brissett is not actually here to win but to basically just be a punching bag and take 5-8 weeks' worth of pounding while the kid learns the game. If he can't take anymore and goes down, then they have to cut their plan short but otherwise they will stay on course. Brissett survived the nasty first 4 weeks behind the most patchwork of patchwork OLs so I think he can probably survive Miami, Houston, Jacksonville, and if need be the Jets part 2.

I am going throw up in my mouth after I say it but losing David Andrews for anytime is the worse thing for this Offense.
It's probably the biggest reason why we didn't see Maye in garbage time last game.

To me its the same concept as playing not to lose in games. You take the ultra conservative approach which eliminates your ceiling, but theres also a decent chance your floor also crashes in as well. See : Giants loss last year. Play it safe for OT instead of going for the win, miss the easy fg. Its a coward approach and i wouldn’t be surprised if it backfires on mayo.

If they feel like a 2-4 weeks delay might be ideal to hopefully get a little healthier, maybe. But i just cant imagine going past week 9 without making the move.

Miami is a winnable game ! If Brissett has another stinker I don’t know how you can justify starting him again
