Ouch! I remember those years quite well. I've been a Fan since Plunkett was drafted.

Watching the Pats QB get killed behind a pathetic O Line is reminiscent of Plunkett's early years. When he got to the Raiders, we saw what he could do, win 2 Super Bowls.

What I see the main problem is.. is not having constant continuity... if there is no cohesion then the line is dysfunctional.

Ok that's true. However line needs continuous continuity.. we didn't always have 5 all pros even during the championship years.. but they played well together.

Continuity doesn’t matter if the players suck. We don’t have continuity because we don’t have NFL caliber players.

It's also a vicious cycle....
Can't attract in-demand coaches because the roster is so broken.
Can't attract quality players because the coaching staff is unproven or has previously failed....and the roster is so broken.

Not to mention the owner grips his money bag extra tight.

Spot on. The roster didn't become this way overnight. It was a gradual decline. When maye takes over and looks the part.. that will attract players, keeping fans engaged and making NE a destination like we always used to be.

And it looked better than anything Brissett did all game. Give the franchise a full week to prepare as the starter and game planning around his abilities...

What did you see about Brissett that gave u hope.. my QB came in under a ****ty line, at the end of a ****tt game.. he still made a 20 yard pass play.. tell me the last 20 yards pass play the "tough " " veteran " AVP QB has made.

Has nothing to do with the QB… our line is atrocious. It could get Maye killed. Starting him now would be pure stupidity.

it's OL and QB one can't block the other can't throw over 10 yards misery loves company. This game could be over very early for the Patriots and the 49ers are wounded. Can't wait for another 100yds passing from Brissett.

It's actually going backwards didn't he have an all pro numbers of 89 yards passing from Miss-ette

Agreed. The fins will be a tough out for the CBs.. gonzo is only one man.. J.jones and Marcus need to get out of training camp mode and start defending. If we let Skylar tomphson have a day then this defense is a bunch of JAGs.

That is why I hated losing Matthew Judon he made some of those Jags look better than they are: they can't fend for themselves without him they are just plain jags. This current Defense would make any QB worth a dam look like a Hofer Canton get ready: Geno 327 - AR 281 - Purdy?? I'm getting an early start.
