Was he checking to see if they could still fog a mirror?

I'm sorry.
I feel your pain though, I go back to Butch Songin & Nickerson Field

I had to look up Butch Songin. Dude, you are truly "older than dirt". I can barely walk in the morning, hope you are in good shape. Cancer got Bruce at 52, and he died in Foxboro MA in 1976.

I have always wondered who makes a Wiki page so complete for a guy that passed away 20 years before the Internet started. Amazing detail. Who did all that work?

It all starts up front. Wolf did a horrendous job in the off-season. And I remember how so many posters thought Brissett was the answer. Absolutely bizarre.
The AVP offense is bland and predictable. I read that Thornton is going through the motions out there. He knows and the other defense knows that he will never see the ball. The sad part about Brisett is that he beat out Maye for the QB job. What were seeing now is the reason why the Pats let him go in the first place. Tuna gave BB the heads up on Brisett because Tuna met his Dad out at the pool in FLA and one thing led to another.
It will round into it's true form once the contenders knock the dust off. The rails fell off this defense against contending teams starting in week 4 of last season.
Same scenario this season. A sputtering offense and the defense gets worn down to dust. The Jets had the ball for 40 minutes.
That's a really long time. What if he has 2 straight losing seasons with similar records? Do do you think Bob still keeps him. I think the clock gets accelerated if Bill comes back to a contending team and does well. That will make Bob look really bad....again.
There are lots of people to blame. AVP, Wolfe would be the first to see the highway. I doubt anything happens after this season, but after 2025 heads could roll.

Parts of me are in phenomenal shape, not any of the original ones mind you but still parts is parts.
No matter what you hear outta @Clonamery or @RobertWeathers there is absolutely no truth to the rumor I went to school with God. Although come to think of it... his Son may have been an underclassman...

Yeah, Nickerson Field. What these Patriots need is a fan to come out of the stands and make a big play on offense, not defense.

The line has two talented players healthy.

There's three more on the injury list. The backup center, who is out for the season. A guard who may return from a potentially career ending knee injury... or may not. The third is a guard/tackle swingman with a leg injury, he should be back soon. They have some tackles with "good" not great talent, but they're developmental children. Dice rolls.

They're still two talented linemen short when Sow returns, and have very little depth. You can't win with three good linemen.

If you can't block, you can't win... coaching be damned. Nobody on the coaching staff will point the finger at the GM.

Bill had his own way of holding players accountable for themselves. I don't have an issue with calling them out. But I do have an issue with not also taking responsibility. I know I've heard him say we need to coach better so I don't want to go too far. And I'm sure Mayo has a way of talking to his players one on one that I'm sure they take way more to heart then media comments.

Let's just say it was one thing that Bill was smart about. It almost always started with we have to coach better before he got into other things.

As long as Mayo has the ears of his players which I think he does at least for now, then this isn't a problem.
He did say at the end, "it's all of our fault, and once again it starts with me."

Edit: Oops, others have said it (namely Fuzz).

I’ve always felt the correct approach (in any firms) is praise publicly, condemn privately. And the leader takes the heat publicly and delivers it privately.
**** rolls downhill…

Last week Covington said “it wasn’t Xs and Os” and blamed the players.

Now Mayo has a team meeting and shows the OL a mirror, then tells the media about it, saying it’s on them.

This is a big departure from “it all started with me, and we need to coach better”.

Thoughts on this?

my thoughts are in this video. All fun and games..

8 pass attempts, 2 sacks... protect the franchise.
It's Different for Maye (by Joe Jackson)

What the hell is wrong with the OL tonight?
Andrews can't seem to say or do the right thing
Wanted to be sure Brissett's feeling right
Wanted to be sure we want the same thing
Brissett said, "I can't believe it
You can't possibly mean it
Don't we all want to survive
Don't we?
Well, who said anything about Maye?"
"No, not Layden", he said
"Don't you know that it's different for Maye?"
(Don't give me a hug)
"No, not Maye", he said
"Don't you know that it's different for Maye?
You're all the same"
Wolf always told me, "Save yourself
Take a little time and find the right QB
Then again, don't end up on IR"
Logical advice gets you in a whirl
I know a lot of things that you don't
You wanna hear some?
Brissett said, "Just give me something, anything
Well, give me all you got but not Lowe"
"No, not Lowe", he said
"Don't you know that it's different for Maye?"
(Don't give me a hug)
"No, not Lowe", he said
"Don't you know that it's different for Maye?
You're all the same"
You're all the same, you're all the same
You're all the same, you're all the same
You're all the same, you're all the same
You're all the same
Who said anything about Maye?
"No, not Leverett", he said
"Don't you know that it's different for Maye?"
(Don't give me a hug)
"No, not Lowe", he said
"Don't you know that it's different for Maye?"
Don't give me
"No, no, no, no, not Lowe", he said
"Don't you know that it's different for Maye?"
(Don't give me the game ball)
"No, no, no, no, not Wallace", he said
"Don't you know that it's different for Maye?
You're all the same!"
You're all the same
You're all the same
You're all the same
