I'm just going to run with it based on what you are telling me:

The Pats offense, through 2 weeks, has the 2nd lowest passing yards of any team in the last ten years. And we've already played our 3rd game.
The lowest passing yards. 2nd place was about 30 more yards than us - I think it was the Ravens.

Who cares, we know the passing offense is not good, but it’s not historically bad which is the point. It’s not an offense that throws the ball much either.
You’re gonna tell me you would take the Carolina Panthers passing offense THIS YEAR over ours?
If so, trying to equate one statistic to conclude that they’re an historically, bad offense is pretty meaningless

OK. We are the second worse offense. What does it matter? It is still bad. Not good. Not average. You are pleased the Panthers are worse than us? I disagree, but either way, it is really bad.

What is meaningful is that we added Maye, possibly very good, and very little else in the off-season. And the team looks like nothing changed and nothing was added. We are told that the FA are too expensive, Polk is amazing and we run Polk on jet sweeps (what?), that Baker is going to surprise everyone (he is continually inactive), that Wallace is really a LT (not), and Robinson is a future All-Pro. All the excuses of injuries, blah, blah, blah, will be posted, but overall we added almost nothing in the off-season and the 2024 squad looks like the 2023 squad. Poor management.

Dalton>Brissett

It's extremely bad. Getting worse too. At this rate it might wind up historically bad.

BTW, the Carolina Panthers passing offense, thru 2 games is actually much worse than the Patriots AND IT IS NOT EVEN CLOSE. You don't have to look back a decade to realize this 1 stat mentioned making the Pats the worst in the last decade is utter hogwash.

PFF has us ranked 15th in Pass offense BTW. No, I'm not defending that LOL but the point is there are many crappy passing teams, Pats are not even the worst this year, never mind all-time worst which is just ridiculous.
PFF has us ranked 15th in passing how?

The stat that is probably all time worst is through 3 games our entire roster of WRs is on pace for less than 1000 receiving yards this year. All of them combined.

You have a great ability to put lipstick on a pig.

Of course it’s historically bad.
We are throwing for 102 yards per game.
We have been sacked 11 times in 77 attempts. (To put that in perspective if we throw 35 times a game, which is about the league average we will get sacks 85 times this year)
We gave 1 passing TD in 3 games.
We have converted 9 3rd downs passing in 32 tries with 7 of them being sacked.
On 25 3rd and more than 3 pass plays we were sacked on 6 and converted a first done on 5.
Through 3 games our entire WR room has 21 reception for 169 yards.
Over a 17 game season that projects to 958 receiving yards from all of our WRs COMBINED
Last year 31 players individually had more, Tyreek Hill had almost twice as many.
Our WRs average a paltry 8 yards per catch and we have had 1 pass play to a wide receiver of 20 yards (and it was just 22) in 3 games.
We have scored 13 points per game and have 3 total offensive TDs in 3 games.

The Mac Jones/Zappe offense score 47% more tds per game. They passed for 77% more yards and scored more ppg.

This is epically and historically bad.

The post said worst offense in a decade and all time worst
That’s what I was refuting
Not even 2nd worse this year
Broncos, Bears, maybe Titans have been just as bad just off top of my head

Yet Panthers and Bears are worse net yards per attempt so you just ignore attempts, Cleveland sack rate is the same and about same ny/a
Titans, Giants Broncos all similar stats and Pats is inflated a ton by Jets game when original post was 2 games

So your argument is 7 teams are having an all time historically bad passing offense in the same year?
Seems unlikely.

Now your changing the argument to extrapolate over a season that’s not even part of the original post

Through the first two weeks, the fewest receiving yards in the past ten years was the post. I posted the tweet as well. Sorry if "receiving yards" dropped out of the conversation at some point.

I wasn’t referring to the original post and apparently you are not either because it was about passing yards, not net yards per att sacks or “similar stats”

I was referring to your statement that the patriots passing game had not been epically bad which is wrong.

Well that changes what I was arguing against this whole time LOL

I saw a clip the other day with Mike Reiss the other day, and they were savaging BB for possibly still angling for another HC job.

Whether they had a point or not, I thought it was a really bad look, and provided ammo for why you don’t give the media anything they can use against you.

They looked petty and unappealing.
The media has destroyed this country. Having too much of anything is never ever good.

So then more bums on the roster. Towels over a massive water leak basically.
The only hope is to get Sow back, move Onwenu back to guard and hope some combination of Wallace, Jacobs or Thomas emerges at tackle.

Pray for two prospects to develop and emerge at tackle… scratch ticket odds. Total longshot…

Even if they hit they won’t be great, but might be good enough to keep them competitive. They’ll still need the TE’s to block and help out. Color me skeptical…

I agree. Wallace and Robinson will play by necessity. Hopefully they can man up and simply block the man in front of them. We are down to blocking basics 101.

I thought both prospects had potential but if they were going to succeed in the league they’d need at least a year in the strength and conditioning program…. they needed some development.

We don’t have that luxury due to injuries and Wolf signing a bunch of jag free agents this offseason. Now we pray for health and development of the youth. This season is shaping up to be a dud.
