Thought the experience was good for Wallace. I saw a lot of good and a few bad plays for sure. I think he’s gonna be alright with more time and reps. People ripping into him on just his 3rd game is insane. For any rookie to take reps at left tackle is a rarity regardless of what round drafted.

Love some White. Can’t wait for Barmore to get back. Definitely a big part of tbe future on defense.

Uche made his presence known. Game ball.

Overalll the secondary had a pretty tough night.

Tackling was atrocious and probably the toughest thing to watch all around.

Refs kind of whiffed on some calls. Could of probably left that stiff arm slide by Stevenson and the long gain. Big momentum killer. Fine, it’s a penalty but one you see very seldomly called. Thought one of Wallaces holds was very tic tak bs too.

At any rate, this team was in disarray from the opening drive on. Not really much else to say. Sadly Brissett is only going to do so much. Tbh Maye keeps them competitive but after a lot of thought I think they are handling him right by sitting him. Work him in slowly like tonight. You really don’t need a scrambling QB masking the deficiencies of an offensive line that is missing two starters and just isn’t ready to protect your top 3 franchise pick. Now is not the time imo.
Ugh somehow i had forgotten about the sloppy *** tackling….that was another major issue and is inexcusable

Bring back Scar!!
Isn’t that the truth ….but scar’s done now/retired…..we need someone of that caliber to fix this crap OL

Are the wagons circling around AVP yet or are we chalking it up to the o-line - in which case is it the new staff OR is it not the staff at all and did Eliot and Co. totally drop the ball not drafting a Tackle OR...was there no real talent available , so did he do the best he could....

My God, we suck don't we? What's for breakfast you ask?

LFG PATS!

"Lets put Maye in to get a slight feel good factor back and maybe get a TD".

*Has Maye absolutely crushed on 5 of 7 dropbacks

*Drake somehow gets us into TD range anyway.

"Now lets have the clock run out."

Interestingggg coaching there.
They moved down the field because the Jets had a 21 point lead and the Pats were running the ball. Basically, the Pats helped the Jets run out the clock.

playing under center... a slowly disappearing skill...
This probably starts in college. At some point the college coaches realized that they needed to win games instead of training pocket passers for the NYFL. Now there's more runners playing QB and less pocket passers in college and it has changed the face of the NYFL. IOW, they don't make them like they used to.

Every team is going to be stunting and blitzing us to death. These guys wouldn’t be able to sop it if we had 8 linemen blocking.

THe FO does not care if they win or don't win this year. They just want it to be a learning year for Maye.
To hell with the other 52.
To hell with presenting a competent organization to the next class of free agents who get to pick and choose their next team.

Three points scored the whole game against the Jets after nearly the entire draft was spent on the offense? You saw this anemic output coming?
Yes. This is a bad team. Anyone who wasn’t viewing it with rose tinted glasses knew we were in for more of last year or worse since we have a new coach and new QB and are relying on a perennial back up

We're on to San Francisco...
Well.. I'm sure there will alot of overreaction.... however what I saw was a Thursday night game.. with a team that had fight and heart but not as talented.

Rodgers we all know is a future HOF QB.. however the missing pieces on defense are glaring.. Marcus and Jon have no business being on guys 6'5.

Love my guy gonzo but was playing too much off coverage.. however not like Wilson had 100 yards on him.

Another sub parr offensive performance. From the first drive I knew we were In Trouble.

10 days off, I'm thinking the team may be prepa Drake to start...

Nah, sign some offensive linemen instead of Okorafor, Michael Jackson and Leverett. Draft a stud OT in the second round when they were there.

Sign Oli Udoh, Yosh Nijman and Andrus Peat in free agency instead. Draft Patrick Paul/Sumiata in the 2nd round. Similar money to the F/A’s they did sign. 4 shots to get two tackle spots filled, backups who can play tackle and guard better than any of their current options.

That’s a very good/great line if healthy.

Bad team > Good team

I agree about the Paul / Suamitaia.

Oli Udoh - Recovering from a torn bicep. How were you going to sign him when he wanted to join Klint Kubiak? And, he's played all of 12 offensive snaps in 2 games.

Yosuah Nijamn - The guy who has played all of 3 snaps in 2 games for the Panthers. Only on Special teams, I might add?
Andrus Peat - Can you name the other players 30+ that the Pats signed this off-season? And he's appeared in 27 snaps...

You're making a TON of assumptions about the quality of players you think they should have signed. You have no idea if they'd have been a good/great line in a outside zone scheme run by AVP.

Don't like it as it sounds reactionary than well planned.

Putting in Maye should be well thought out and planned. Not rushed for PR after a ****ty performance. That's what bad organizations do.
Been saying this for awhile. You knew you wanted to develop him off the field. Getting scared by losing and the fan base is what teams like the Browns do and end up ruining QB’s and being in purgatory every year.

We are on that path now. Nobody can succeed in this situation and fans want a silver bullet. Maye won't make this team win and he’ll learn to lose and fans will slowly say “he just can’t cut it” and blame him and demand another quick fix. Same people who want to rush Maye behind this disaster were screaming for Stidham, then Zappe, then Malik and will soon be calling for Milton.

Said from the start, dislike the fact how Mayo isn’t more tight lipped. I get it we had the steel curtain for over 20 years and some didn’t like it, but this new Mayo-speak shows he has no clue what he’s doing. Words matter. Always say less.

We're seeing WHY Bill was tight lipped for all that time. The less you say, the less that can be used against you.

If Maye plays the whole game it’s closer or we win.
Exactly. Although Jacoby has not turned the ball over he hasn't done anything that is conducive to winning either. Drake starting even with this O line gives us a better shot.

during garbage time when it meant nothing to Jets defense.
Maye's performance tonight means nothing and it was mediocre at best.
It’s like when Zappe came in for Jones. Didn’t mean **** longterm. But people wanted to think it did

We're seeing WHY Bill was tight lipped for all that time. The less you say, the less that can be used against you.
That was bills personality as well. Growing up in a military home as Bill said himself had him adopt that mentality in sports.

The only question after that "show" that crosses mind is : what was worse, defense or offense?
Offense. They only scored 3. A Rodgers led offense with Breece Hall as a featured back putting up 24 isn’t the worst thing in the world.

Please, tell me more about how good our offensive line really is. That was fun. That all of us who saw the way they were playing were delusional. Yeah, Brissett is holding onto the ball...while he's running for his life. Jaysus.

Lowe, Sow, and Strange all out.
2 rookies playing.
Onwenu playing out of position.

I'm not saying I expect the O-line to be even average when it's like that, but your take is ridiculous.
