Maye played what... ten snaps and got sacked twice. Brissett got sacked five times.Cryin' Jacoby strikes again
By getting a boneheaded roughing the passer call? Great stuff there.Uche made his presence known. Game ball.

I am older… started following the Patties when they sucked, all the way through the great years, I’m already telling stories about the glory daysWe suck, but at least in thirty years from now when I’m a lot older I’ll be able to tell stories about the glory days of our Patriots. It sucks that we suck but we did get to watch a lot of good.
wow!wtf was that or call timeouts?
The kid could of got a TD.
Bring back Scar!!Right, i would say the first step in this is putting everyone back in their natural spot. Sow at LG when back, andrews, onwenu rg, wallace rt. Lowe or whoever at LT
We played a good Defense with 2 rookies, including one starting out of position in his first start at LT, and a player who was on the Practice Squad a week ago. What did you expect?Yes. Even Andrews and Onwenu had their struggles. Severe lack of talent in this unit.
Said from the start, dislike the fact how Mayo isn’t more tight lipped. I get it we had the steel curtain for over 20 years and some didn’t like it, but this new Mayo-speak shows he has no clue what he’s doing. Words matter. Always say less.In Mayo’s press conference after the game, he was asked about if they might make a change at starting QB next week. He didn’t shut it down or say “Jacoby is our guy” like prior weeks. Instead, he said “um - … I don’t know, maybe, we will get together as a staff and look at the film and re-evaluate and go from there”
To me… that means they have already decided the answer and he didn’t want to say it
That 4th down to Pop in the RZ, there is absolutely 0% chance that Brissett can make this throw. That’s why you start Maye.He made a couple.good throws but also a few bad ones which is normal. Overall it was positive but not much else.
His first throw was a 4-yard stick route, that nearly went back for 6.That 4th down to Pop in the RZ, there is absolutely 0% chance that Brissett can make this throw. That’s why you start Maye.
You need him to get accustomed to the NFL speed. It’s clear that he was nervous at the beginning and that led to some bad throws and decisions. I give credit to Brissett being able to scramble but he is slow and will not kill your with his legs. If you let Maye scramble he can definitely kill you with his legs. If he can connect on some deep balls it will make the pass rush back off a bit. You’ll probably see less stacked box and will free up the running game. Brissett isn’t putting fear in any defense and makes the offense one dimensional.
Maye will make some mistakes and throw some picks even if in college, despite what people think, he wasn’t putting the ball in arms way a lot. He had a really low percentage of turnover worthy play last year.
And then got a stupid penalty that I could have avoided.4 solo tackles, 1 tackle for loss, a sack and 3 pressures. May of been a boneheaded play but he played with effort which I can appreciate..
Between Barmore and Bentley the heart of the defense has been gutted. The offense not being able to sustain any drives did them absolutely no favors, suprised they only gave up 24.The only question after that "show" that crosses mind is : what was worse, defense or offense?
Drake Maye was strictly a shotgun QB at UNC. He had that extra beat to see the defense unfold. The problem is that it puts the RBs at a disadvantage by not allowing them to get a running start to the line on handoffs.Being strictly in gun when Maye was in will be interesting to watch going forward
