When has Tyquan ever had “ a day?”

Regardless of how fast he is Thornton has shown no ability to be a downfield threat. A better way to use him would be to get the ball in his hands as fast as you can and let him run. Unless you want him to be decoy that no one buys into?
LOL. He certainly hasn't had a "day" yet. I'd settle for a couple of moments. I only mean to suggest that given opposing DC's likely have the same low opinion of Tyquan you seem to have, there may come a game where they'll ignore him so completely (focusing on the run) that he'll blow by some db and make a play, after which they'd probably have to lead him off to the blue tent to get his parts reassembled in the proper order.

Brissett wouldn’t be able to get him the ball that’s the problem.

That is the question. If the opponent focuses on the run, can Brisset keep his wits about hem well enough to size things up quickly and get the ball out in the short passing game. It's far from a sure thing that he can, given his history, but that is where the opportunities would lie.

This may not be a long-term question, though, because while the o-line played surprisingly well last game, there's a still a pretty good chance of Brisset's getting knocked out of the game at any point. Then it's Maye's turn, it seems, to try his hand. I think I recall that the quick, short passing game was not a strong point for Maye in college. Is that right?

A team like this may not give a lot of opportunities to gloat over wins, but it provides an awful lot to talk - and worry - about, which beats following the goddam news anyway.

He "could " have a day. True and utilize his speed I can what you're saying. My guy @PatsFan2 would love to see Tyquan have a breakthrough game.
He looked fine in a conservative game 2 of 3 targets for 27 yds. Tyquan could easily eclipse his 2023 totals on Sunday.

Yes. I think teams trying to take the run away helps the pass game. Also the gameplan also had alot to do with the WR targets.

I want so see some Play action Deep shots by Brissett...AVP's Offense have some deep play designs.

Looking at this weekend's games, and how the Pats looked, I'm re-evaluating the Pats' projected win total a bit. I feel like they definitely have a shot to beat any of the below teams. Plus, maybe they'll steal another one or two from a team you wouldn't expect, like Cincy. Is a 7 or 8 win season in the cards?

-Seahawks
-Jaguars
-Titans
-Bears
-Colts
-Cardinals
-Chargers
-Dolphins (once)
And the Jets.

They looked inept last night. Not what I expected from Rogers. Yes, they faced the 49ers in their house, but it was ugly.

I also had all your games except Miami as potential NE wins this season. Plus Cincinnati is 8 wins. One thing about the NFL is that your fortunes can change in an instant. I dont believe that the Bengals will be that bad or the Patriots that dominant as the season plays out.

The Seahawks CB duo was lockdown in Week 1

Me too. They were there. He just missed Tyquan on 2 of then. I want polk starting I like KJ but polk is the More talented WR. This would also be a good game for baker to get some action as well.

it’s pretty clear the MO from Mayo and AVP is playing experience over talent.

Brissett is a backup QB. He doesn’t make many mistakes because he doesn’t take any risks that’s why he doesn’t make plays. He left plenty of relatively big plays Sunday because he is too risk averse.

That’s fine when your defense is light out, you can run the ball at will and the opposing team continuously sh*t on themselves.

Agreed. Will be interesting to see when and what the kids have to do to get more PT.

Yeah the Jets did not look good. Rodgers was shaky and their defense looked pretty poor. I mean, McCaffrey didn't even play and they still got completely abused in the run game. Pats should be able to do that to them too in their game which is only 9 days from now (with another game in between)

Except I think the Jets were a little more afraid of the 49ers WR than they will with our.

They will be able to probably use more ressource to stop the run against us

Division games against rivals are always tougher.
