Massive coaching turnover like the Pats had.

Last season:

They tried making a bunch of changes in the offseason to address the issues on defense.

Beat the Broncos yesterday 26-20 but the first half for their offense was... something.
INT
3 and out
4 and out
FG
Safety allowed
Muffed punt return giving the ball back to Denver
TD
Safety allowed
3 and out

As always paying attention to DK Metcalf should be one of the top priorities. Also this will be another big test for the OL, their pass rush is a good one.

Their offense looked sooooo bad in the first half. They definitely improved in the second though. It's hard to say how good they are defensively because Denver looked like a steaming pile of dog crap. They were better with Russell Wilson (ouch)

It's overreaction Monday so I guess I should say Bo Nix is a bust lol Yeah he looked like the rookie that he is. Can imagine the reaction around here if Maye puts up a stinker like that.

42 attempts 138 yards 3.3 avg Canton get ready for Bo Nix.

Looking at this weekend's games, and how the Pats looked, I'm re-evaluating the Pats' projected win total a bit. I feel like they definitely have a shot to beat any of the below teams. Plus, maybe they'll steal another one or two from a team you wouldn't expect, like Cincy. Is a 7 or 8 win season in the cards?

-Seahawks
-Jaguars
-Titans
-Bears
-Colts
-Cardinals
-Chargers
-Dolphins (once)

If we can get the Biscuit over 200yds passing definitely got to get the passing game going. We missed some decent plays yesterday in the passing game. Need Pop Douglas to be more of a factor.

You don't want to overreact to week 1 i think we have to factor in how bad the Bengals were and how they always start like that in the Burrow era, if we are to get to 7-8 wins instead of the 3-5 wins most people expected then the Seahawks game is an absolute must win because a loss and we're probably on the way to the 1-3 start that most of us predicted all along just winning the Bengals game instead of the Seahawks one.

I have no idea what to think after yesterday.

But I'm definitely happy! And I'm digging whatever this is!

Therefore, I shall endeavor to NOT overthink this... but instead heed the advice of a childhood favorite of mine:

Cam Newton throwing for almost 400 yards vs the Seahawks in week 2 of 2020 might have been the high point of the entire post Brady era to date. Lol.

Still amazes me how he did that then post Covid struggled to break 100 later in the season.

Maye replaces Nix in that game Broncos win, the difference between Maye and Nix is a much larger gap than Stroud to Young.
Bo Nix was never a first-round prospect, it was a bust of a pick, was worth a 4th round or later flyer. He played 61 games in 5 years in SEC and PAC-12 doesn't mean he can't ever develop but his odds are extremely low, a 24-year-old rookie that has never shown anything on tape to suggest he's an NFL starter usually don't make it as NFL starters.

Luckily Brissett is also better than Nix, though not by that much.

They were that bad is how... Wrs were wide open all day long... He was just playing catch... Every time he had to force it, that's when that busted up wing of his made an appearance

Think we might be able to get Osborn out of the lineup this week? Think we can do better than 3/6, 27 yards...

At the very least we should be trying to do better... He looked lost at times out there

In the week 1 pregame discussion I wondered whether the Pats should use an extra LT to replace the TE to stabilize our “offensive” line. Apparently that’s exactly what happened, as the Pats used an extra tackle (eligible) on 16 snaps.

Now, Seattle will see that on the tape, and I assume that they will prepare to counter it. If they try to stack the line, I hope we put in a few dump-offs to the eligible tackle.

I really didn't see anything good out of Osborn, but... maybe I missed something... I think Polk and/or Boutte should be out there

I am stopping myself from going down this road. It's called overreaction Monday for a reason.

It was really effective, though. They might still be able to just do it anyway even if the Seahawks try to counter. But yeah, be prepared to throw the dump-off if the Seahawks REALLY overcommit guys in the box. Can Caeden Wallace catch, though? And does Jacoby have the touch to loft it gently up and over?
