Personally, I'll be fine with us starting 0-4 or 1-3 In Bill used talk about as the extension of the preseason.

As we did for camp, we might consider what we would like to see when Brady comes to town to announce the MIA game, other no serious injuries. BTW, I think the PUP players plus Barmore and Mapu are allowed to start practicing before the MIA game.

I would like to see

1) no serious injuries

1) an OL that has started together for at least a couple of weeks. At minimum I would like to see 4 of the positions settled at least for awhile.

2) And yes, I would like to see Maye as QB by then.

3) I will be interested to see who is getting most reps as the 4th corner, and

4) how the new additions are working out

I never like losing, but won't be disappointed, I am actually expecting it. This year I'd rather be honest with myself to avoid inflated expectations... will be here for the whole ride though...

Just had to lower my expectations, and am hunkering down for a long season...

I hope we can at least be competitive while losing and not be blown out

I don't think there is much debate that the team is prioritizing development over wins and losses to start the year. By that measure losing close, competitive games with a minimum of mental mistakes has to be considered success for the first half of the season.

Aside from 2001, a BB team that ended up with a winning record and making the playoffs never started out with a losing record after 4 weeks. If this team starts out 0-4, we can start talking about the off-season/college prospects because the season is already over. Going 0-2 is still a deathwish as only 11.5% of teams starting out 0-2 have made the playoffs, but 3 of those teams have won the Super Bowl (1992 Cowboys, 2001 Pats, 2007 Giants). Only 2.5% percent of teams starting out 0-3 have made the playoffs.

My focus is if Mayo is up to the task, the last two draft classes including whether Maye shows he's a potential franchise QB. If Maye turns out to be the guy, then that will be a big victory for the franchise. Now it will be up to Kraft/Wolf to get more aggressive and build around him.

Also hoping this will be the last year with those awful uniforms.

I can expect misfortune and still be disappointed when it comes to pass, because you always hope things are better than they seem.

So yes I'll be disappointed if we start with a trash record.

I
Mean the teams not making the playoffs so let’s hope some younger guys show improvement… get a high draft pick and cross our fingers

If they start better than 1-3, I would be elated and would start having wildcard aspirations. 1-3 would be in line with my expectations. I would be slightly disappointed with a 0-4 record, but if they at least look competitive, I would probably be fine with it.

I have very low expectations for the season, so I'm just looking for something to be excited about for the future - that means a defense that continues to be solid, and the young players on offense (especially Drake Maye) showing promise.

3-1 or 0-4 is probably in line with what most everyone expects. Whether or not it's disappointing will largely depend on if it's a holy crap what we're seeing gets worse every week or a we can see progress 1-3 or 0-4. There's entertainment in watching a young team grow and come together that isn't there simply seeing your favorite laundry dragged through the mud and shredded

Throwing an entire season away while having so much cap room and coming off 5 years of no playoff wins is a pathetic joke.

It's as if they just want to get this season out of the way, they are not even building anything.

I'd be sad, but not let down, at 0-4. If 1-3, I'd be content; I just want to see what it looks like for this team to win to get an idea of identity.

That was the worst part of last year. I dunno if that team had an iota of identity.

The health of our QBs is paramount. I'd love to see Thornton catch a bomb from Drake or Milton that he has to go full out to run under, a 90 yard TD, but I'm not sure if Thornton will stay healthy. I'd like to see if our coach and staff are competent.

3-1 or 4-0 is probably in line with what most everyone expects.
I'm confused. I know for a fact I'm not sober but deep down I know this wouldn't make sense if I were 12 hours sober.

A typo, my bad. I apologize for any confusion and raise my glass in your direction
