There might be some truth to what you’re saying in regards to what men and women look for in relationships but I have a feeling not all men and women view it that way. I don’t think I could date an 18-19 year old at my age.

I read a book when my daughter was a toddler, on child rearing and protecting daughters. Don't remember the name of it. There was a whole chapter on how society values young, breeding age women and much less so older women beyond that age. I think the chapter was basically called "Teenage girls are the prize". That comes off as creepy, but it explained how marketing works and how there's a constant push to youthful women and much less so with men. Experienced, handsome, older men are highly valued. Hollywood pumps out young starlets like they are on an assembly line. It went on to talk about how it was the father's job to protect the teenaged daughter and, basically, be a hockey goalie as the predation increased. It was pretty eye opening.

My point is that @Wozzy has a point. Society, right or wrong, values youthful women and older men, while older women are cast aside. I'm not passing judgment, just pointing out that Wozzy isn't the first guy to say that.

I mean yes that’s always been true…throughout history. Young women are highly valued and current days scum bag marketing also encourages it. And girls do feed into it through social media. We all know that.

You just hope that individuals see the creepiness factor regardless. That teenagers are still children, and that such age gaps as Bill and this girl mean there is nothing they have in common. You hope that someone Bill’s age has the self-respect and maturity to resist those things.

Bill can do what he wants and give the finger to the rest of us. At the same time we are well within our rights to judge him for it.

I’m going to be fair here. I’m SMH at the people jumping to defend Bill and acting like it’s normal. But you are going too far in the opposite direction.

I think it’s gross on Bill’s part. If you are going to date someone much younger at least let it be an actual mature adult. At the same time it does not make him a pedophile by any stretch. He isn’t diddling children.

Brother I'm only a few years behind you and if you don't know what he can be thinking you're much older in your 70's than I am in mine. BB is however much younger in his 70's than I am in mine, putting up with everything else that goes with a woman in her mid 20's would just be far too high a price for me. Although, maybe if she was a helluva cook I might reconsider.

(JK, most days I find I have just enough energy for the delightfully crazed woman I've been married to all these decades and the cooking has been just fine)

Just read something that they have been involved for two years now, WTF?? That would have made her 21 when she started with 70 year old BB... this is super creepy.
I have a 21 year old granddaughter, although she is a grown woman, she still has a lot of child in her.. cannot imagine why.
