Brissett as a starter:
926-1511 attempts, 61% completions, 9994 Yards, 208 YPG, 48 TD's, 22 INT's, 85.2 QB Rating, 6.61 YPA, 190 rushes, 853 YDs, 4.5 YPA, 12 rush TDs... his career interception percentage is 1.4
Hoyer as a starter:
793-1357 attempts, 58% completions, 9206 Yards, 224 YPG, 43 TD's, 32 INT's, 79.8 QB Rating, 6.78 YPA, 58 rushes, 85 YDs, 1.5 YPA, 1 rush TDs... his career interception percentage is 2.4
So not only is Hoyer less accurate, but his ability to run for first downs or at all is almost nonexistent. Brissett is a better passer, better all around QB and a better placeholder for the rookie. He can win games if the team around him is good enough.
