I’m kind of interested to see what the two bring to the table. Obviously Hughes had first hand knowledge of Polk with Washington. Underwood was underwhelming as a player but sometimes these guys are better coaches than players. . We are about to find out. Troy Brown had his chance. Time for a fresh change as far as I’m concerned.
Looking back at things.. Bill was very impatient at times with WRs.. the old system was very intricate especially for rookies and FAs.. remember Joey Galloway.. Ocho great WRs elsewhere but came here and couldn't catch on to the scheme.. but I'm with you.. time for a fresh change and hopefully underwood can get these guys to ball out.

That’s great! Hope he can put that to use in game play, a CB with that ability could be a real asset.

Hearing his comments is even more reason to root for him.
We are so deep at CB, I'm rooting for dial. If he can make the team I believe he can become a solid CB in the league. I'll say.. pelligrino has been a dam good DB coach for us...

Interesting.

Wallace said that he was LT through HS and practiced at LT through all of the post-season bowl games.

I remember reading that Robinson was considered as only being able to play RG.
Ya, I hope he can quickly emerge as a franchise LT. We need it.

But, hearing about Anderson, it'd be nice to see if he can return to form. But, that form was never top-level anyway.
I'd rather have Wallace land at LT for consistency, and Anderson stay as a vet backup.

I am sure he has been coached on it a lot, but if the Pats can help Milton develop touch on short passes it will be gold.
I love it. It will be a welcoming sight to have a good QB room again.

Wolf has final say I bet all the draft picks make the roster.
I would not be surprised to see all of them make the roster.

They all seem to bring something to the table, and it isn’t already a deep roster.

Are any of the rookies initially disappointing?

I am reassured that Maye was the right pick over Williams and Daniels, even though the choice was removed from the Pats.

Just like Bill Callahan designed his own blocking shed, I hope there is a device out there to help a QB with touch.

Like when you hit it with a throw it displays how much force was on the throw when it gets hit.

That instant feedback to the QB would be useful.

These linemen they drafted are super smart and funny guys. Watching their interviews after the draft and now, it strikes me how charismatic they are. Overall it seems like Wolf and company really focused on character with many of these selections.

Shark tank it.

This!!! it isn't hard to make a team as a rookie if your team sucks, like our offense did last year. It is really difficult to make a team when you are competing for the superbowl every year. I think many here will be amazed at some of the cuts at training camp this year. My guess is many of the o linemen everyone thinks are great will be gone and replaced with young hungry players. And I still don't think Bourne will be ready to play to start the season, so counting him on our "early final rosters" is probably premature.

Agreed. KB will start the season on PUP.. even though ACL procedures are far more advanced he still will need time to get 100% and on the field. If Polk & baker show enough in camp that they will be starting caliber players I believe it's over for juju.. he'll be traded for a 6th or 7th..

We had a practice squad offense at the skill positions last season.

Basically like the high striker sledgehammer gizmo at the county fair only with the target standing up instead of lying on the ground.

LT/RT will need to work itself out but if we can get 2 starters at Tackle from Wallace, Orkorofor, or Anderson then we can move Onwenwu back to guard and that would really help make the OL better.

I think its intriguing and scary the number of possible combinations that could make sense for the OL. Including Strange's injury concerns in that combination math and really the only thing we know is that Andrews will be center.

Pretty excited to have Scott Peters on the staff. I’ve considered Bill Callahan second to Scar as the best oline coach out there. Here’s to hoping Peters was a sponge working under him and bringing some of that type of coaching back to NE.

I'd say Andrews, ownenu and strange- if he's healthy are the starters.. RG & LT are the spots up for grabs in camp. I like the competition idea. Let the best players play as it's only going to make the entire team better. Health has been the issue with the line..

Agee maybe my favorite hire of the coaching staff.
That’s why I’ve been saying O line is in better shape than it was last season.
